First relief fuel pressure before disconnecting fuel lines remove fuel pump fuse or relay start engine let it idle until stall out lack fuel fuel now fuel pressure is reliefed. you have to remove top upper air cleaner housing, you have to remove whole entire air cleaning system because the fuel lines with fuel injectors is under the air cleaner filament you have to remove entire fuel line with fuel injector in order to replace fuel injector.

Floods out within 20 minutes after warming up, 1984 4x4 quatro 5 cyl, 2.2 L

Sounds like engine coolant sensor is at falt. If it thinks the weather is below O let's say. It will tell the computer that info and the computer will make the injectors poor the fuel to keep the engine running in the first start up but after the engine is warm and the coolant season doesn't tell the computer any different it will continue to poor the fuel in and will flood the engine. Get them Checked

Have a 1999 Audi A6 quattro, changed the fuel filter and bled the line. Car won't start. Has fuel all the way up to the rails. Is there a fuel pressure release/switch that is on the injector rails?

did you plug in the fuel pump at the fuel pump. did you cycle the key off and on at least 5 times check the plug at the fuel pump first to see if its still plugged in

Injectors are cracking the ceramic tops

These are hitachi injectors and are horribly engineered..Replace them with modern bosch injectors:

1989 audi 200 low gas mileage at 10 mph

Just a silly question...how much driving do you do that is at 10mph? Most times this is less than 5%...so if everything else is fine why be concerned? As far as the why of it, you could have a slight vacuum leak or any number of sensors that are very slightly out of range, not enough to cause a problem, but enough to change mileage expectations. The addition of ethanol to our fuel has also impacted fuel mileage...The dirty little secret about any alcohol fuel is that nearly twice the amount of alcohol is necessary in order to produce the same energy output of gasoline...which will definitely lower mileage. Some power can be "recovered" by increasing compression ratios and changing engine timing (advance)...However today's vehicles are calibrated and built to burn gasoline and cannot without, major mods, be made to use anything but. Alternative fueled vehicles make a compromise in these areas but a compromise is just that.

Car won't start without adding gas to air intake then won't idle

Check the fuel filter, you may have clogged it when you filled the tank.

Ok i have a 1990 audi 200 quattro its a 2.2l inline 5 turbo im having a problem its not accelerating right its sputters a bit and the turbo doesnt kick in it just makes this blowing noise what cani do

Hello, I used to own a 1989 audi 200 turbo. These cars have a rather complicated fuel injection system called constant injection system (CIS 2). They can be difficult for most mechanics to figure out, unless they are already familiar with it. If you do bring it to a mechanic, try to find one that is familiar with these cars. And don't be afraid to get a second opinion. I had one mechanic claim that my car needed several thousand dollars worth of parts, another was able to fix it for under a hundred. The only suggestion I have is that it sounds like it is vacuum related. Good luck!
