Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
If you examine the face of the tray, you should find a very small hole, about the exact diameter of a standard paper clip.
(See where this is going? ;-) )
Some need to have the clip unfolded twice since the manual release is pretty far inside and you may have to blindly poke around (try straight in first, of course) before you find the right spot. Once you find it, it will require a good push to get the tray lip to come out.
I have two that do this and am too lazy to take them out and correct the problem since they do sometimes come out on their own. The weak point is kind of a clutch that is supposed to slip if something is blocking its movement and unfortunately, probably because of dust, they lose their grip and slip when they shouldn't.
