Question about Printers & Copiers

How do I remove the covers on a Xerox XE60 Photocopier?

The paper jam microswitch is stuck down, which should be fairly easy to repair if only I could get the covers off, particularly the lower one.

Sorry, it is not actually stuck down, it moves fairly freely, but stays down as if a spring has dropped of, or broken. Which is why I need to get the bottom cover of. Thanks anyway

Try forcing a sheet of paper through the machine by hand. Feed the paper only in the direction it normally goes. This may free up the sensor. Thin cardstock may be used instead of paper.

My lexmark inkjet printer model p4350 requests to clear paper jam. How can i clear it when i still cant identify a paper stuck inside the printer

Hi

If you cannot see any paper inside the most likely cause is the microswitch that detects a jam has stuck in the on postion or there is a small bit of paper stuck on it look for the switch and un jam or remove the small bit of paper on it

Xerox3124 jammed paper

Hi
Open and close the front cover.Turn the printer off and on.This automatically exits the paper from the printer.
You can also remove the stuck paper by gently pulling it out straight.
If there's no stuck paper, clear any print queues.
Disconnect the printer completely from power and then re-connect again.
Now try printing.

Regular paper Jams at front Roller

Yeah. The registgration clutch has failed. Very common.
If you go to Xerox.com. Click on support and drivers. Then enter 8400 in the box. I believe you then want to select documentation. There is a complete parts list on the site for the 8400. The registration clutch is on the left side of the machine toward the bottom front of the machine.
It isn't all that expensive, I think less than $40 and when you get it, let me know, It is very easy to replace. Even if you have never done it before I would say it would take less than 20 minutes.
I can almost 100 percent guarantee that.
The only other thing to check, since the cleaning page comes out, Is be 100 percent sure the paper SIZE is correct on BOTH the machine and on the print driver settings. It is possible that the size setting is off causing the machine to shut down thinking there is a paper jam due to the wrong size paper it is expecting to see.

Printer indicates paper jam every few pages, but there is no paper anywhere in the paper path. If I open the top cover and close it, it will print a few more pages, then indicate another paper jam

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Xerox phaser 6120 laser printer paper jam fuser

You can remove the imaging unit, then
Depending on the stock being used for the job, raise or lower the left and right colored Fuser separator levers. The levers will stay in the raised or lowered position on their own.
the levers are green. The fuser itself is not easy to remove.
Do you have any warranty left on the machine? Or a depot repair agreement?
