Question about Cameras
Going to Best Buy was not really a good place for this problem. A lot of Camera Repair techs work from Photographer Supply companies. When you walk into a good camera shop you should see tons of darkroom equipment and a large section devoted to quality used cameras.
What you can do here is get a referral if they can't work on your model.
What is at fault is probably is one or more IC Chips controlling a sensor or two. To remedy this you have to short two pins on the chip, but the key is knowing which pins for which chips. This information is tightly held by the manufacturer. Still, should there be a shop or person in your area it will be the camera shop the pros use that will suggest one for you.
All that being said, your easiest method to pursue would be to send this camera to Fuji at a repair center.
I know this doesn't solve your problem with the camera. But, I hope this empowers you to take your next course of action.
