It worked fine yesterday, but today - nothing. I've trying removing the batter and the sim card. So far nothing works. I don't get it, I didn't change anything. I know the battery is fine and has a charge because I just tried it in a friend's phone.

My phone was dialing a number that I was trying to call and just froze, so I tried to hang up and everything and ended up after about 5 minutes of it not doing ANYTHING holding the power off button down. Now it won't turn on not even for a second. and I've left everything out (the battery and sim) for a while before trying it again!?

My blackjack two has worked fine for the past few months, until today when it went dead and now I can't get it to turn back on. I have tried both a wall charger and usb charger with no luck. I've tried taking the battery out and still nothing... How should I proceed?

Hi svstskier,

This is actually a bug in the BlackJack II's firmware. If you power the BlackJack II off, but you're unable to power back on, try removing the battery for about 10 seconds, then reinsert the battery and power back on. The power button should work now.

(At the moment there's no permanent fix for this.)

Does that adequately resolve the issue?
Are you turning the BlackJack II off to conserve battery? While flying? Something else?

Thanks!
Jonathan

Samsung Blackjack freezes

If you want, you can try doing a hard reset, which will erase everything that's not on external storages. Here is the hard reset procedure:

1. Removing the battery without turning it off.
2. Reinstall the battery and turn the phone on with navigator key pressed down.
3. press any key to skip to prompt.
4. press yes to reset the phone.

Good luck.

I dropped my blackjackII and the power buttton on the verytop of the phone is jammed and not working.how do i get it to turn on?

The phone external casing must be disassembled and assembled back, checking keypad connector and refitting the keyboard in place.
If that does not work, then the keypad must be replaced.

Here a video on how to disassemble Blackjack, procedure is the same on BJ II : Samsung Blackjack Disassembly .

It is better having the job done at a phone repair shop, so that you do not risk to cause more damage to your phone.

Phone will not charge.

Return to the carrier for warranty repair.

The charge port of the Blackjack starts to go bad and will not send the full charge tot the battery.

If you are out of warranty there are some options you can choose from

1. Get repaired
2. New phone
3. external charging source

The external battery charger runs about 20 dollars on ebay with an extra battery.

On power up phone gets stuck on win moble blue screan. how do you do a hard reset?

Hello obrien615,

In order to reset your blackjack you will need to fallow the directions at the end of this post. Before you do that you need to know that doing this will wipe everything off of the phone. If you choose to continue keep that in mind.

1. Turn the phone off.
2. Power the phone on while pressing and holding Up.
3. You will be prompted to erase all data. Press 1 to erase and y to confirm.

Hope this helped

Blackjack II will not start

This has happened to my Blackjack II and I've found if I plug it into the charger then plug the charger into the wall, the phone comes right on. It's a pain, however, if I'm not at home when it decides to do this since no amount of button pushing will turn it back on, it acts like the battery is dead (when I know it isn't!)

BTW, I've have to have my SIM card switched out twice and the battery replaced 4 times since I bought this phone brand new in February......

Blackjack i607 stuck in "phone off"

Try doing a master reset. this will delete all of the data and settings but it may help. go to settings, push more until you see security, and then press reset. if not have AT&T send u a new one (if you still have a warranty) if you havent already you should try a soft reset before doing the master. soft resets leave all of your data intact. to do this: turn the phone on. after it is on fully, remove the battery and wait about 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery.

Blackjack stuck in "phone off"

This solution worked for me: NJ

My Samsung Blackjack showed "Phone off" on the screen even after I switched on/off several times.

The fix: Turn the phone on and call your voicemail (i.e., hold "1" to connect to voicemail).
It will prompt you that the phone is off and that if you want to turn it on.

Press "yes" and Voila!
