SOURCE: screen resolution keeps switching

If its a usb kvm, check usb connections, one computer should stay fixed, the one that doesn't is your problem

Hitting control twice no longer switches my computers back and forth, how do I correct that?

Try unplugging the power from the kvm is powered, if not turn off both computers and unplug all connections for 30 seconds and then connect it all back and turn on both computers.

KVM Switch

The reason why this is happening is because the notebook keeps on loosing it's resolution and the GCS62 can't remember what's the resolution set to the notebook.

To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below:

1. Disconnect the tower from the GCS62 and leave the problem computer (notebook)still connected to the KVM switch.

2. Set your desired resolution (ex. 1280x768) to the notebook.

3. Restart the notebook while it's connected to the KVM switch.

4. The GCS62 will remember the resolution you set to the computer.

5. After rebooting the notebook, you may now reconnect the other computer and try to toggle to see if you will get the same problem.

But doing these steps should resolve the issue.

Switch starts switching back and forth between computers itself

There are no firmware updates for the GCS62 also the KVM appears to not have a firmware upgrade port. If the KVM is auto-switching have you tried hitting the ESC key or Space Bar? That should stop the auto switching.

Wobbly screen on mac laptop

are you using a Mac Mini-DVI to DVI adapter or any adapters? This is a VGA video output type of KVM switch so probably the problem is with the adapters involved to it.

Switching from PC monitor to an HDTV monitor

Yes, this product will do the job. An easier solution, although probably more expensive, would be to use a video card with dual outputs. Using a video card with dual outputs would allow you to see the computer's video on both screens simultaneously.

Unable to switch to other comp

See belkin.com for switching software update. Also you should have an icon on your desktop to switch back and forth.

KVM Monitor resolution out of frequency and will not display

Restart your system in a VGA mode (you will find this below Safe Mode, by pressing F8 before windows is loading) This way yours screen resolution will be at the very low frequency then you can change it back to the resolution you like. Eg. 800x600 or 1024x768. Remember to keep your Screen refresh rate lower like 75Mhz
