Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My computer keeps shutting down. When i'm able to finally get my computer to load up again, it tells me that windows has recovered from a serious error. I have done system restores and that only helps for a bit and goes back to the same problem. i have never done a system recovery and don't dare to. is there any way my problem can be fixed with your help?

Based on your comments, it sounds like spyware or possibly virus infection. Try AVG free for viruses [ http://free.grisoft.com ] and Spybot for anti-spyware [ http://www.spybot.com ]

Be aware that if you do have spyware and/or viruses, removing the bugs doesn't remove the damage. You may need to reinstall Windows at some point if the problem persists.

Hope this helps :)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My laptop shuts down randomly

Tell them to give you a NEW computer. You got a lemon. They WILL give you a new one if you've had this much trouble with it. I'm serious, they do it all the time on lemons. Be assertive! They will cave.

I can't seem to reboot my acer aspire 6920g dose anyone know how to do this as i can't work out how please help thanks stephanie

Hold down the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys simultaneously, which will open the task manager window. Select the Shut Down pull down menu and click on Restart. If this will not work as a last resort hold down your power key for approximately 5 seconds, which will hard shut down your system and lose all data from current running applications. To restart press the power button but windows may say recovered from a serious problem but the system should work again.

Installed a video card xfx on windows xp pro now computer shut of

its a normal process when you installed a new Video Card. the only problem there is, if its not compatible with the chipset of your main board. it will create an error and slow down your system/computer later on. to check it, see the manual of your main board and find what its chipset.

Hello,

AS what you have said computer start over and over again. this was due to the system conflict or hardware conflict.

The solution of this is to restore all the setting by completely restoring using the installation disk.
