Open your customizer software cd and look for the drivers, you will have two drivers on the disk open the win 2000 driver and double click on that and then you will see jsmc double click on that and that should install the driver not sure if it work on Vista though.

I purchase usha janome allura two month ago, i want to know can i upgrade or can i fix other attachment , so that i can make more design which is not make by this now.

I doubt that you can exchange it because you have had if for two months. They may let you upgrade but you would lose too much. Why not do some free style designs with the feed dogs down or covered. There are websites you can go to that show it, plus you can call Janome or go back to where you bought it and ask their advice.

I have just bought the janome 9700 and can't find the Customizer 1000 anywhere that I can import designs, edit, and transfer them to your ATA card. Is anyone able to help This is my first embroidery...

You may not need the customizer 1000.

If you go to secretsofembroidery you can download a trial of Embird.

Create a folder on the hard drive of your PC and download a couple free designs from the Internet.

They may be zipped files and you will have to open or extract all.

The opened file is what you will work with. Open it with Embird and "save as" using the format for your embroidery machine.

Find the new design with the janome format and send it to the ATA card.

Insert the card into the embroidery machine.

You can find more information at the Janome site -,_10000_V3.0)

I have the 10000 with the upgrade and am using my new lap top with Vista and I am unable to transfer designs with the USB cord. We determined it is not the cord, the computer or the sewing machine so it...

If you have the customiser software open the disk up to view the drivers the driver may work with the win 2000 if so it will look for JSMC and install it. If this does not work try right clicking on the customiser icon and see if you can run in compatibility mode, Otherwise you may have to use a SD card and only transfer to that.

Janomi Digitizer 10000

Well, after some research, contact with Janome Technical support and some trial and error, it seems that my problems are caused by a conflict with Windows XP Service Pack 3. At this time, my options are to run without service pack 3 loaded on my computer OR I'm told I can upgrade to Digitizer Pro and get rid of these issues. Neither is a good option in my opinion. Running without service pack 3 loaded for Windows, causes lots of system issues for me, but I hate to spend the $400ish it will cost me to upgrade too! I'm not even sure my computer has enough "horse power" to run the new version anyway. Just thought someone might like to know my experiences.

Janome 10,000 Customiser from the computer to card

Try re-formatting your card in the sewing machine. First, tho, copy all the design files that are on it to a file on your computer so you won't lose them (Reminder- you should always put copies of the originals on a card... never the original!) Then, put the card into your machine while it is turned off. Then turn it on. Then go to Settings button (below the LCD screen) and push it. Go to Embroidery. Go to the next page and chose Format card. See if this fixes it. If you are using other media to transfer designs- I'm not as certain what to tell you.

MC 10000 Digitizer 10000 Error Message

Try downloading the updates for your software from Janome Global, downloads, software. Version 1 needs patches to make it compatible with XP. The most current Version for the 10000 software is 2.21, and the upgraded program is Digitiser pro/MB , a much more stable and far easier version to work with. The upgrade has to be purchased via a dealer or direct from Janome.
