Question about Alpine Air XL-15 Air Purifier
Several months ago, I purchased an XL-15 at an estate sale. It was manufactured in 2000 I think, but it's previous owner NEVER used it once. It was in brand new condition.
After several months of very reliable use, the fan has stopped working. The unit still produces ozone. No parts appear corroded. The tab connection providing power to the fan looks great. Just NO FAN power!
Any suggestions on where to start?
Thanks for the help.
Hello night light,
How you proceed is going to depend on how comfortable you are taking it apart.
Given it's age and purchase condition, warranty isn't an issue. You will either be able to dis-assemble the purifier and try taking the motor apart and reassembling, or you can find a replacement motor (I've seen some on the web, they start at ~$50).
Hope this helps.
