Canon ir 600 error e537 - Canon imageRUNNER 600 Printer

It is a Fax machine also and presumably connected to a phone line.

Disconnect the phone and disconnect the printer from the power. Wait 2 minutes, Press the ON button for 10 seconds, THEN plug it back in and power it up. Having said that, this says it is a Boot ROM error and needs flashing with a laptop connected to it.

E 601 deals with the hard drive. You can try to disconnect and reconnect the hard drive. But most likely you will have to replace the Hard Drive with a new one or a good used one. Good Luck......

The machine's hard drive has died. you will need to get a Canon technician out to replace it for you and to re-install the machine's system software. In addition to this you will also need to reconfigure some of the machines settings such as the address book, as this is usually lost when the hard drive is formatted or replaced.
