Re: i have no sound
Probably best to try installing drivers. Might be just a glitch & if you tell device manager to install drivers automatically, it might find them. If not and you don't have a driver disk that came with the machine, it's probably easiest to go to the manufacturers website and get them from there. Good luck.

Try updating your video drivers. It sounds like the video driver is crashing and a fresh install of the driver might fix your issue. If you have an nvidia graphics card, you can get drivers from nvidia.com. If you don't have an nvidia graphics card, you can get drivers from ati.com.
It sounds like you have a problem with your nVidia driver on your laptop.
Possible solutions for a fix:
1) Click on your start menu - in the search box type in "windows update" and press enter. This will open windows update. Click check for updates and then open the "optional updates" and see if there is anything for your nVidia driver.
2) If windows does not find an update then you can go to the Samsung website and download the nVidia drivers for your computer from there: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/ Make sure you select the nvidia driver and not the intel graphics driver.
Normally I would say this is a problem with the screen display but since you can still use one side of it, this sounds more like the video card. Since you didn't mention the manufacturer of your Notebook, all I can say is go to the manufacturer's website and look for the Drivers & Downloads section. Once you locate your model's Notebook, re-install the drivers for your graphics card and the problem should be resolved.
If this doesn't fix the problem you may need to have the graphics card serviced.

Hi, After formatting the system. You need to install Drivers for your system.you can not hear sound, can not connect to internet or can not run graphics Unless you install this drivers. But no worries you should have got the driver CD with your laptop.Just installed all the drivers (e.g. Sound driver,Network Driver,Graphic Driver etc) on your system. After installing it will work properly. If you have any queries regarding how to install drivers just comment to my solution. Thanks
For your sound card how many plug in openings are you using on your card?If only 1 is all, than that is why.Try re-downloading your soft ware.If your running Vista, than your problem is that,Vista, just like XP started out ,many many incompatible issues with the operating system that will fix them selves with more time.Secondly your graphics problem:Are you using Vista???? You now have a start ,not stating what operating system your running is one problem.
