You can try to clean the keys with a cotton swab and alcohol. Just take the key off, carefully, the clean around the key and on the plungerwith the tip of the swab. Good luck.

HOw to Clean your keyobard effectively

Keyboard cleaningIf you're trying to clean a laptop keyboard see document CH000780 for additional help and information. All of the below information applies to standard desktop computer keyboards.
Why? Dirt, dust and hair can build up causing the keyboard to not function properly.
Procedure: Many people clean the keyboard by turning it upside down and shaking. A more effective method is to use compressed air. Compressed air is pressurized air contained in a can with a very long nozzle. Simply aim the air between the keys and blow away all of the dust and debris that has gathered there. A vacuum cleaner can also be used, but make sure the keyboard doesn't have loose "pop off" keys that could possibly be sucked up by the vacuum.
Why? If the keyboard has anything spilt into it (ie: pop, cola, Pepsi, Coke, beer, wine, coffee, milk, etc.), not taking the proper steps can cause the keyboard to be destroyed.
Procedure: Below are a few recommendations to help prevent a keyboard from becoming bad once a substance has been spilt within it.
If anything is spilt onto the keyboard turn the computer off immediately. Once the computer is turned off, quickly flip the keyboard over helping to prevent the substance from penetrating circuits. While the keyboard is upside down, shake the keyboard over a surface you do not mind getting wet or that can be cleaned up later. While still upside down, use a cloth to help clean out what can be reached. After you you have cleaned the keyboard to the best of your ability leave the keyboard upside down for at least one night allowing it to dry.
If a keyboard does not work after trying it again later it is recommended that it be replaced. If the keyboard works but some of the keys are sticky or cannot be pressed in you can attempt to do additional cleaning in attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately many times when any sticky substance such as a non-diet pop is spilt directly onto the keyboard it's usually a loss unless you plan on spending dozens of hours attempting to clean each key.
Why? A keyboard that is used by multiple people, such as students or different employees, may need to be disinfected to help the spread of germs.
Procedure: Turn off the computer. Spray a disinfectant onto a cloth or damp a cloth with alcohol and rub each of the keys on the keyboard. As mentioned in our general cleaning tips, never spray any type of liquid onto the keyboard.

My samsung n150 plus keyapd is not working properly

It sounds like a key gets stuck on your keyboard, which keeps sending signals to your computer; especially as it seems fine using an external keyboard. When the laptop is off, try typing on each key a number of times, especially the 'suspect' ones, m and 0 (?)
Have you spilt Coke or coffee on it at any time??

I have a gateway keyboard ku-0833 and its working fine but I spilt a little coffee on it and a few of the keys are stiff to push. Is there a way I can clean it, tried using cotton swabs around the keys but...

You can pry out the keys using a butter knife and use rubbing alcohol to clean the underneath.

if the coffee got into the connectors you might be out of luck.

**THE FOLLOWING IS NOT RECOMMENDED**
When i spilt mt dew on my keyboard i took out the battery let it decharge for 5 minutes. I put it in a pan and poured rubbing alcohol on it and let it sit for 5 min. While it was sitting i swished the alcohol around a little bit so it could flow. took it out and let it dry for about 1-2 hours and it worked perfectly. this is orta used as a last resort

Unable to log onto computer keyboard double spacing and double ch

Try a different keyboard, if a different keyboard works properly then your original one is defective. If another keybaord does the same thing then its a setting in the operating system for the keyboard that needs to be changed.

u r keyboard is likely to b defective or ur ram..
lightly strike/tap the keypad using ur hand..

if u r a professional, open the keyboard..deep clean all the carbon contacts beneath the keys using Iso-Propyl alcohol..put/stick 'Carbon-Dots' (available in cheap level spare market) as n where necessary..
hope it'll work..

better to seek professional supervision esp of ur system admin/vendor....

Certain keys are creating double letter combinations e.g. typing "y" yields "hy", "i" creates "ki", "r" "fr", and "o" brings "o9". the shift key has stopped working. replaced batteries. took off key caps...

i think maybe some of your keys are stuck together. have you spilt something on it or is there a load of debris underneath keys if so just give it a wipe to clean it or blow on the keys to remove debris

LOGITECH REMOTE KEYBOARD EACH CHARACTER IS NOW PRODUCING DOUBLES

Another trick to possibly try before you re-download drivers is a:/ check the batteries, b:/ try relocating or resetting the mouse and keyboard to the remote by depressing the button on the receiver then pressing the connect button on the keyboard. My logitec did the same thing and after changing the batteries and re connecting the keyboard and mouse, it befan to work correctly. If those easy fixes don't help then I agree with previous suggestion of re-downloading current drivers as they may have become corrupt or conflicting with other software within your computer. Good luck!!

How do i clean a laptop keyboard

Hey,

its not a easy task.

I think you need to take it completely apart to get inside, the coffee most likely got inside the keyboard and is causing the problem.

all the keys need to come off, then look at it and see if you take take it apart, it might be glued together.

Not a easy fix.

You need to get inside to clean it, but in the process you might make it useless, and then how to get it back together.

I feel you will do better with a brand new keyboard.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Ekse
