Ice maker makes plenty of ice, but when despencer on outside of door is pushed, no ice will come out. Water will come out, but no ice. I can hear humming when ice despencer is pushed, but delivers no ice through door.
I have a GE Profile PSW26P Stainless Steel Side by Side refrigerator that makes plenty of ice but will not dipense when the lever is pushed. The dispenser makes not sound when engaged. What do you think the problem is.
I have what appears to be a similar problem -- but have not yet found a solution. The door or valve on the ice dispensing chute is not closing or sealing properly. The warm air from the kitchen is drawn into the freezer (ice maker). The warm air condenses and freezes causing the ice cubes in the ice bin to freeze together, preventing their discharge from the bin. Also, the warm air and condensation freezes and builds up frost and ice in the discharge chute. When you try to discharge ice cubes, they get stuck in the chute and will not discharge.
Temporarily, you can open the freezer door, access the ice bin and loosen the cubes which are frozen together. You can also remove any cubes from the discharge chute. If there is frost and ice in the discharge chute, use a hair dryer to melt the frost and ice, putting a container under the dispenser in the door to catch the run-off water.
I've done all of the above and I'm still not getting a proper seal and air is still getting into the ice maker bin and dispensing chute. Looks like a service-call is next.

In my case the ice make works fine, but the door that the ice falls through will not close completely, thus warm air gets into the ice chute and causes a lot of frost build up. Is there some way to get that "door" to close fully?
I have the same problem with ice dispenser. Makes water and ice but can't get ice out. Hear motor grinding but no ice.
I water ice despencer doesn't work
