Question about Laptop Parts & Accessories
Hi thanks for help, I should have mentioned its a usb adapter, ive tried uninstalling restarting reinstalling, useing different usb port, downloading software from belkin,on different computer, incase its a newer driver or something, useing system restore and then reinstalling .If you`ve any other ideas Id be gratefull as im a bit stuck now
I just noticed that it is a 802.11a/ . "a" wireless products do not work correctly and you need an "a" router to connect to. The "g" protocol is the most common and reliable.
If it is a new adapter, I would return it and get a 802.11 g adapter, not a USB.. they cost about $20.

First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
Click "Start" button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the "Search" bar and press "Enter". Click "Continue" if necessary.
In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.
hope it helps
