Hi i hav a sony laptop it has a broblem i installed window again but now it is not working wirelessly

On a different computer, go to this site and fill in the model number, etc on the right side. After it takes you to the next page, there is a "Download" button on the right. Find the wireless card driver, download it, transfer it to the Sony laptop using a jump drive, and install it.

My computer keeps losing the wirelsee internet, and does not show my wireless to connect to. After I push diagnose and repair it wants me to turn on my wireless switch that is all ready on.

Hi mproulx,

It is required to install the Wireless LAN Utility Update and Wireless LAN Driver Update in the Computer to fix this issue.

Here are the link to download the Updates.

Intel Wireless Network Adapter Driver Update

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNN220EW&upd_id=4751&os_id=28

Wireless Switch Setting Utility Update

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNN220EW&upd_id=2970&os_id=28

Please download and install the Updates in the Computer. Also please restart the Computer after each installation for the settings to take the effect. This should fix the issue with the Wireless.

Good Luck!

Hope this helps.

Please post back if you require further assistance.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Sony Vaio laptop unable to detect wireless access point

CompuLayne: Hello bluebells953

Netgear is quite tricky as is with all other routers, but I don't think the router is your problem. Try to do the following.

1) Turn off Vaio laptop
2) unplug router
3) unplug modem
4) plug back in modem - wait for it to boot up
5) plug back in router - wait for it to boot up
6) turn back on the Vaio - log in and see if it sees the SID. If it isn't broadcasting, you might have to enter it in manually and select connect to non broadcasting network
