Switching the ignition off loses the preset stations
I recently installed a nakamichi CD-35Z in my MGB (no manual) The acces lead is connected to a non switched positive voltage source but I still lose all the selected stations when the ignition is turned off. Any suggestions?

usually the yellow wire is your permanent power wire that connects to the battery or any power that stays on when the ignition is off. if you are losing your preset stations when you turn your car of then my bet is that this is what it is.hope that helps
sounds like the changer was plugged into the antenna jack of the radio. this means that you can run it through any radio simply by sending a signal to a preset station on the radio and listening to it through tuner. the control unit ran the changer itself. you may be able to obtain replacement cables from pacparts.com
There is adjustment for bass, mid and treble. Access this by pressing the button to the right of the volume knob. I leave mine set at +1/2, -3, +2 . I also set LOUD on which is done by holding the same button down.
With these settings everything sounds pretty spot on, occasionally need to adjust the bass up/down and treble dependant upon the CD.
