- Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories. Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator.”
- At the command prompt, type “cd ” without the quotations, and press enter.
- Now type “cd Windowssystem32” and press enter.
- Type “regsvr32 VBScript.DLL” and press enter.
- Click <OK> in the successful registration window.
- Install Palm Desktop.

here is the exact procedure to load the software correctly without any errors
1) Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories. Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator.”
2) At the command prompt, type “cd \” without the quotations, and press enter.
3) Now type “cd Windows\system32\” and press enter.
4) Type “regsvr32 VBScript.DLL” and press enter.
5) Click <OK> in the successful registration window.
6) Install Palm Desktop.

If you install Palm™ Desktop 4.1 on Windows 95A without Microsoft
Internet Explorer installed, you get the following error message:
Internal Error 2738. CostFinalizeCustom
This error occurs because Palm Desktop 4.1 is not supported on any Windows OS without a minimum of Internet Explorer 4.01/SP2 installed.
To prevent this error, install Palm Desktop Software 4.1 using Windows 95A with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x installed.
Check Microsoft for the latest Windows and Internet Explorer updates
This error can occur for several reasons depending on the Windows Operating System. “Internal Error 2738” can either indicate a corrupt or missing Windows Script Host (WSH), or an unregistered .dll file.
1) Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories. Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator.”
