I have a motherboard Asus P5GC-MX/1333 with an Audio of Realtek High Definition. I had to reinstall Windows XPpro SP3. When I try to reinstall the audio driver from the CD I received when I bought the comp, at the end of instalation it tells me:" Failure installation audio driver". I downloaded from Asus site the driver but I have the same message. When I open the Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager, it tells me that I have no driver. When I clik on reinstall driver nothing happens even if the CD is in the CD-ROM. I don't know what to do more. Please help!

- Thank you for your time and for your help but, fact is that my Windows was updated from the beginning, and first time when I install-it on the computer the driver worked with SP3. I had a worm which I could not erase from my computer and I had to format again and reinstall everything the problem started. So, unfortunatelly I don' t have a roll-back point for the computer or for the driver.
and as I told the repair method of Windows take me to the Control Panel/ Hardware / Deviceswhere I can see there is no driver but when I clik on reinstall nothing happens, but it is not greyed so apparently it works.
Thank you again
Hi there, Since after installing the Service Pack your drivers are update. Now you can not use the previous one.
Since after many trial, your driver is now got corrupt. I will suggest you to Roll Back the System from the Service pack 3 to Service Pack 2. And then go for it.
Otherwise use the Repair window method and then reinstall the original drivers.
Let me know the issue after this.
Regards Ellin

I'm having trouble getting my Verizon MyFi card to configure on my Dell PC w/ XP or my Dell laptop with Vista. The files load--but it doesn't find it when you look for a connection. I've spent 1-1/2 hours with Verizon's tech support and the ppl at Verizon took my laptop to work with it today for several hours but couldn't find a solution. It must be a setting in my computer. They lowered the firewall on the compuer to load the drivers but that didn't work. They checked the administrator settings. They checked to see that the MyFi was being "seen" by the computer and even were able to install it on another computer so the card is good.
