Need to remove broken bar stud efco mt8200

Broken bar stud ?
Is it the bar sprocket at the end ?
The Bar itself is easier to replace than to try and replace a sprocket, especially if you don't have proper tools.
On the other hand is it the sprocket connected to motor ?
That would be part of the clutch system.
Hope this helps.

I am unable to get the bar and chain off of my Poulan Pro 260 42cc chainsaw because the stud for the clutch brake housing has broken loose inside the housing. When turning the clutch brake nut the clutch...

I ran into the same problem and I "cheated" my way through this. First of all, the thread is metric on the stud. Take an imperial nut and start to thread it on the stud. Don't force it, it will stop after half a turn. Now you hold the imperial nut with a socket or a wrench, and use a flat wrench to undo the other nut(the one that is stuck). It took me 2 minutes to remove it and no damage done at all.

Hope it helps

How do i replace stud bolts that tighten the bar

if this is the plastic crankcase machine, the bar bolts are pressed into the case, start by removing the muffler, use a punch and drive the broken stud back through the case, it will have a square head on the rear, re fit the new stud, use a spscer and the bar nut to pull the new bolt fully back through.

I have a craftsman chainsaw that I have snapped off 1 of the studs that hold the chain bar no.Problem is I cant work out how to remove the snapped stud. Are they screwed in or pressed in? how do I get them...

Go to: www.Searspartsdirect.com and enter the complete model number minus the decimal point. This will take you to a series of replacement part drawings. Check the drawing for the stud and see if it has a square head which would imply that it is replaceable from behind the bar bracket. Hope this helps!

Threaded stud that holds chain bar broke off, how do I get it off.

If it is broken off at the saw, you need to get an ez out to remove it - follow the instructions with it. pretty unusual for both studs to break off at the same time. Hope this helps you, Rick

Stripped bar stud

Many Sthil chainsaws have replaceable bar studs. The stud threads into the case. Go here: http://www.baileysonline.com/itemdetail.asp?item=QA+0000+953+6605&catID=407
look for part by model number, usually no more than a few dollars. Enjoy
