If you are good at opening the player then just follow this steps...
1.take of the screws
2.remove the cover
3.take off the rubber belt connecting the dc motor
4. now you can take the door out by sliding one white coloured clip
5.now clean the obstacles in the door way and every where
use dry clothes..
6.clean the lens also by using the white petrol or spirit....

then reassemble just put the cd and play...
90% it will work
if you are not good at opening then contact the technician........

i've had cdj-100s for a while and i am familiar with cd loading issues... flip the turntable, on the underside there's a sort of key, it's ur CD eject pin, u take that and poke it in the hole in the front... that should take care of the stcuk cd, now the problem i'm having is, IMO, a derailement in the ejection system.... basically what's happening to us is that the 100s is in CD in mode... I've tried the key method, i think mine is totally all over the place, i've pressed eject and kinda pushed the cd in, i got it to run, play music (so lazer's not broke) and it would eject fine but then automatically go back to CD in mode and lock the drive.

If its not ejecting the tray then there are 2 reasons for that
1. Gear that is used to eject has gone bad 2. The belt which is also used when ejecting the tray..
Try to put some Lubricating Grease on the gear and it should work fine.

I think all the possible troubleshooting and and replacement of some parts are already done and it will only lead to a conclusion that you need to get a replacement player already for this old machine and let it already rest its been more than 10 years already...

Hi there
If the cartridge does not eject, then the loading mechanism may be damaged. The fact that it does not read discs also may point to this as well. The load mecha has a sprung assembly driven by a cam. With the lid off can you see if the discs are fully loaded, or just partially. If you have replaced the laser, did you also remove the protection short(a blob of solder) that protects the laser diode from damage associated with static discharge. Laser assemblies are very sensitive to this, and all pioneers have this protection short. Another common failure in Pioneer players is a lazy spindle motor causing the CD to not spin to speed, and or not start at all. perished rubber suspension boots that the laser transport sits on will also cause the disc not to spin up. If you hear a high pitched scratchy screechy noise, then this often points to the CD not spinning correctly, or a motor problems.

Having been a Pioneer Service agent for many years, I have fixed hundreds of Pioneer CD players, and am sure that I can assist you. Perhaps if you can get back to me regarding the symptoms a little more, We can get to the bottom of your problem and get the unit playing again.

robotek

Another thing to check with the magazine jamming is to look at the point where grey vanes hinge out from the magazine. If you see the plastic dimpled near the hinge point, then the magazine may have had all the vane3s opened at once, this damages the locking mechanism producing the dimpling, and eventually result in jamming of the vanes in the mechanism. If there is a faulty magazine, then this may have also damaged the load mechanics. I weill wait to hear from you as to what you see happening with the load cycle.

I am trying to recall the model of laser used in this unit. If it has a detacheable strip, that too should be replaced. If it does not have a detacheable strip, then the defraction grating and offset adjustments will need to be swet. The grating in particular. This can only be done with a test standard disc, and oscillascope from test mode with a low pass filter in place.

If the load lever is not pushing the disc vanes of the cartridge fully in, the lever is in 2 parts and lock together with a ball bearing. If the hole the bearing sits in becomes worn, it may pop out preventing the arm from travelling the full distance required. You will need to remove the transport and replace the load arm to resolve this. Do you have a service manual there to assist you?

Hi again, the link in the solution you have awarded the FixYa to is just alignment details only for the optics. Because of the series of laser (PEA1285) fitted, alignment procedures are minimal. Only the tangental adjustment needs to be set. This will not help you to resolve the mechanical load problems you have. Was it you intention to award the FixYa to Leecom.

Is that the multi disk CD player that loads the CDs into a cartridge looking thing called a magazine?

If so. Look for a small little hole around the magazine. Take a paper clip and insert it into the hole. The magazine should release itself from the unit.

That is a manual eject feature on the player.

It sounds that the opticla pickup unit has the fault. Clean it and check. If this do not help you, replace it.

Seen alot of these "drop" the laser lens inside the unit! Have had some luck glueing the lens back on using radio/tv cement. Don't try super glue or it will ruin the lens! No luck replace the laser!
