Hi sachin. Copy the model number of your sound card from the motherboard's CD and search for the drivers in the corresponding vendor's site. You will definitely find the drivers on the site. Else , just post the model of the sound device, i will you the link to the driver download.

You can use the same driver for Windows XP Professional as well as Windows XP Home Edition.

Access the manufacturer's web-site: http://www.intel.com
Access the "support" pages.
Search for your motherboard (Pentium 4, D101GGC).
Access the "download" pages.
Select your Operating System.
Select the "chipset" and the "audio" device-drivers.
Download them.
Install them.

My sound driver is not working properly. After reinstalling windows xp sp3(clean install),i couldn't hear the sound. The device Manager is showing Multemedia and Audio controller and could insatll the driver...

Go to the web site of what ever PC you have ( Dell, HP or what ever the PC is ). At the web site you should find section that says drivers and support, or something like that. It will have you select your make and model. You should find the correct drivers there.

Hope this helps.
Good Luck

I lost my audio sound.i do understand i need a driver to run it,but don't know which driver????

Open the device manager by Right clicking on "My Computer" and select properties.
Go to the Hardware tab and select "Device manager."
Look at the "Sound, video, and game controllers" tab.
Click the + to expand the tab if it is not already expanded.
You will most likely see a an error designated by the icon being bright Yellow.
This item will have a name of the device detected that has the issue.
Try googling that device and look for the manufacturer's website to download the most current driver.

After putting in new hard drive after the old one died i installed windows xp unfortunately ,have lost all sound.please advise.

you can get the driver from the manufacturer website. If the PC is custom build, get the motherboard name and download driver from them. if your board is not integrated (built in on the board) find the name of the card model, googled it and download from the internet

Hi, To be able to help you on what audio driver to install, pls specify brand, model and version of your motherboard. If not printed on the MB itself, maybe you can check the info on POST or visually check the audio chipset on the mobo. Pls post back the info/details. Kind regards.
