Is it working perfectly while printing? Have you try to install a new cartridge?
Try to turn off and reinstall the cartridge again. Also shutdown the PC. Then power on PC & then Printer.
Since when this problem happened.
Is it from the beginning of the Printer installation? If yes, then do a reinstall of your All-in-one Printer, with step by step instruction.
If no, then find out the updates for the drivers from the Official Website of Printer and Microsoft window.

Although All-in-one printer are not in my area of expertise, It looks to me that the
unit has a bad scanner unit. Does it gave same results when copying
in color? Do a copy test with the lid open; a black page
should come out. This is a great waste of ink but will serve like a
radiology test that will reveal what the scanner unit actually doing.
