My Sirius tuner continues to stop being recognized as a source. They do a reset and it works, then it goes out after a few days.

make sure that before the sub woofer is hooked into the stereo that the settings for the sub are blank that way there is no previous setting once you have hooked up the sub and amp.

It sounds like their is a un stable connection that loosens after a wail. Is the unit securely mounted. I would all so check the ground and power connection. A improper ground bolt can cause a situation like this.

My tinsel leads to one woofer keep frying

also after repairing unless it's done by a true professional normal solder will not work.. it doesn't flex as well as it does from factory, and it's very hard to extend tinsle lead length, I would suggest returning to original store for swap or return to JL for swap.. (or get new ones.... not JL :) )

I have an alpine 9886 and I dont have volume out of the 4 speakers but my subs are working.

if you have the deck keys try pulling the deck out and check the rca's or speaker leads to ensure all is connected properly. if not then solve. if so then it leads into more trouble shooting. best thing about car audio is it is typically a process of elimination. start with power and ground and then check signal wires and connections.

I just hooked up my alpine 9886 .I have volume on the subs but none on the other 4

You have turned off your "POWER IC" option. This truns off the internal amplifier and only attenuates the output the the RCA terminals. That's why only your sub output works.

I believed so that something is draining power in your circuit. I suggest that you must activate the SIrius now and check together with the Alpine if it help fix the problem. It is maybe it turns out to be that the Sirius resist the flow of power when it is not activated.

Car audio

As long as the crossover keeps the frequency going to the tweeters within a safe range (I'd say about 500hz+, read the box or look it up by model number) they should be just fine. That is what the crossover is for.
