HP Pavillion zv5242qv The notebook tries to boot, but does not respond to F10 command showing on the screen. Screen remains blank, as if in sleep mode. You can hear the drive trying to start up, but nothing happens. Checked power source, that is okey. This is after three year, minor usage of the pavillion. Not good. I have heard or found simular problems all over the internet, including HP claiming it was third party parts problem back in 2004. I'm thinking it may be the memory module under the keyboard? or bios?
Try to boot the notebook with F8 Key. (Safe Mode)
Also try to go into the BIOS setting and change there --> Power and Boot Priority.
For BIOS try: ESC, DEL or F2 keys.
