Hi! My computer (Macbook pro) doesn't seem to recognize my Nikon Coolscan IV software and I get the following message

You've not said what the message is but I suspect that the software is too old to be used on the macbook if it is running OS X 10.7 (Lion) or if you are running snow leopard, it may be a non-intel version of the software. It may be asking you to instal rosetta which would be on your snow leopard instal disk.

If the Nikon website does not have updated software you could try vuescan which according to this page http://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/nikon_coolscan_iv_ed.html does work with the film scanner and you can download a demo version which you can trial before you buy. Hope this helps.

Macbook pro doesnt recognize the panosonic pv-gs9 when connected with firewire

I take it that your macbook pro has imovie on it. If you open up imovie and plug in your camcorder it should recognise the camcorder and give you access to putting the movie onto your mac. Have a look at http://www.apple.com/support/imovie/ it should help.

I can't get my new MacBook to recognize and import photos.

Mac's don't need a driver to recognize the camera however they usually need a specific program for different brands of photos. You can also try opening up iPhoto as that will usually recognize the camera. If iPhoto doesn't work and you don't want to install a new program you can also get a card reader that'll connect via USB and will avoid needing any program to transfer photos.

I just got the new Kin Onem. I have a macbook and I'm trying to set up the bluetooth connection from my phone to my computer in order to transfer files such as pictures. My laptop is recognizing that...

I believe the kin's bluetooth is only for pairing with headsets and possibly sending a file. I doubt it is possible to actually browse the phones file system from the macbook. Try looking for an option on the phone to send the file via bluetooth instead of trying to browse the phone from the macbook.

My Kodak EasyShare won't export to my MacBook or the MacBook isn't recognizing the camera. It has worked many times in the past. Help!

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Macbook recognizes dell projector, but not vice versa

Hello,
Your Macbook should automaticaly find the best resolution, if everything was OK. Is there any HDMI input on the dell projector? What projector is it? Is there is an HDMI input, you can use a HDMI to mini DVI cable: better picture and sound than VGA, and will probably solve your problem
