Unfortunately, you would have to request unlock code from service provider to unlock phone.

Go to samsung website and download there free program called; samsung pc stuido 3. I have vista os and it works just fine.

Now you'll need to reset the audio from the phone's advanced menu, follow the following steps.

1. reboot your phone.

All you have to do it type: #7465625*2877#


That will unlock the phone to use on any carrier; The problem you are faced with now is that the a707 only accepts 3G sim cards. If you are using T Mobile just ask them they should give you the code. If not, you are just out of luck as there are new firmware upgrades for the a707 at this time. GOOD LUCK.
This is not illegal nor is it illegal for them to lock a phone

Your best bet would be to take it to a local mobile store to unfreeze it. You should've got it unlocked while in the US by calling AT&T and you could have done it for free. Sorry.

open up your phone and type it EXACTLY like shown. it should look like you are attempting to make a call.

this WILL delete everything on it and revert it to factory settings, so i recommend that you save everything off it, and upload ALL your contacts to your SIM. to do that:

1. open up the address book

2. options

3. OPTION 13: COPY TO SIM _OR_ OPTION 14: MOVE TO SIM

when that is done, punch in the code.

you should get some text saying not to do anything and that it will reset when its done [note the improper grammar, haha :)]

thats it!

remember that it WILL DELETE EVERYTHING off of your phone, so i HIGHLY recommend that you back everything up onto a memory card.
