Question about Toshiba CZ27V51 27" TV
One of the truly great Analog TVs that I have had for 8 years. The picture now gose out with a blip and a buzz. No line, just a black screen. However, if you jiggle the TV or whack it on the side, the picture comes back. This seems to be taking longer and longer with more jiggles and slaps, hehe. Anyway, once it "catches", it can stay fine for quite a while.
When the picture does go out. The Power On light, flashes slowly.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Power on but no picture or sound
Your problem is from the power regulator IC . Its an str type and has to be an original from tosiba or its parts distributors. Now you may have caused more problems as alot of peeps do trying the set over and over again thinking Oh the set will rest its self.. Nope sorry sir if a set goes bad and you try it once , and it dosent come back on . Its time to seek a repair person to repair and troubleshoot the set for you UNless your a technician? If your not Dont try to repair a tv as these have non serviceable parts for the consumer to replace! And can bite ya in the butt, if your not carefull. We techs cannot teach ya overnight how to fix something. Only assit and to point ya in the right direction. Good Luck

If your set all of a sudden won't come on, e.g., the screen is blank, but the LED on
the under the screen next to the on/off switch keeps flashing, then there may be an
internal fault on the set that needs to be reset.
To force the reset, try this:

Most problems indicated by your description involved the Vertical IC. With your post "tap...pop back up" signifies a loose connection or to be more specific a cold solder. I suspect that no part(s) need top be replaced but would however require re-application of heat with the use of a soldering iron.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
