Good evening,

I'm having the same problem and I contacted the Canon Support.
They told me it's because that printer is the cheaper one.
It's only for few pages per week and it's suppose to last about 3 years.

They told me we couldn't empty it. A technician has to replace it at $100/hour.
They suggested me to not make the replacement because it will be more expensive to replace it than buying another one.

Hoping it will help you.

Bye

Nancy

WASTE INK NEAR FULL mp 780

It means you need the ink absorbers changed, around $20.00, and a shop to reset the counters. It will stop printing when it says the absorber is full.

I am receiving a message that my Pixma MP 150 Waste Ink Absorber is full...What do I do?

The unit has to be dis-assembled and the ink absorber (like a felt blotter) has to be cleaned or replaced. After re-assembly, service software is used to reset the ink counter.
