My 8830 is automatically removing my emails, call log and SMS log. I am syncing to an Enterprise Server. I have been using this BB for about 1 year and it has wiped my logs twice in the past two weeks. I have never experienced this problem with other Verizon BB's. Can you advise why this is occuring and what needs to be done?

Re: BBerry 8830 losing emails, call log and SMS log
The deleting of messages and/or call logs typically indicates a low amount of internal memory. The BlackBerry devices have what is called a Low Memory Manager that will kick in when the memory on the device gets low.
The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. This is where you remove the battery from the BlackBerry while it is still powered on. Leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert. Also, follow the steps in the link below to maximize the memory on the BlackBerry:

1. make sure you have a gmail account and that it has been set up on your phone.
2. go to settings/general sync settings/contacts and activate.
This will automatically sync with your gmail account. You can check it by logging in to your gmail (on a pc for example) and going to the contacts section of your account.

By connecting an Android phone, the first time, Google asks
you to log into your Gmail account to sync with your phone. Although not
obliged to do, to do so ensures that all text messages (SMS) and contacts are
stored on your Gmail account, even if you delete them on the phone.

1. Open the Gmail application on your Android phone. The
Gmail application is usually in the initial screen of most phones Android or
the list of applications.

2. Enter your user name and Gmail password over the phone or
the QWERTY keyboard on the screen. After logging in to Gmail on your phone, SMS
will be synchronized with your Gmail account.

3. Gmail.com Open this site in your computer browser. Login to
the same Gmail account that you used with the phone.

4. Click the "SMS" tab on the left side of the
screen. All received SMS messages from Gmail account to sync with the phone's
screen.

5. Select the text message you want to read. The interface
is the same as standard Gmail emails.
AS YOU PAY FOR A BBERRY BOOSTER THOUGH YOUR NETWORK SUPPLIER . IT TOO NEEDS TO BE ACTIVATED FOR ROAMING AS WELL AS YOUR NETWORK PROVIDERS. THIS IS WHY YOUR CALLS ARE WORKING AND YOUR EMAILS PROBLY WONT
OK, this one is common. Blackberry has 2 different features you can have for accessing emails. The first is the individual feature, which most people use. The second is called Enterprise and is used to sync the device to workplace servers. If your company uses Enterprise your IT department can help you. If you ask them and they don't know what you're talking about, they don't use it. If they do not use Enterprise than in all likelihood you will not be able to sync to your work servers.
You may need to reload the Blackberry software. This can be downloaded to a PC from RIM. You will need to find your carrier and download the specific operatign system that your carrier and mobile device uses.
