Question about RIM BlackBerry 8800

BBerry 8830 losing emails, call log and SMS log

My 8830 is automatically removing my emails, call log and SMS log. I am syncing to an Enterprise Server. I have been using this BB for about 1 year and it has wiped my logs twice in the past two weeks. I have never experienced this problem with other Verizon BB's. Can you advise why this is occuring and what needs to be done?

    sprint bb 8830 wipes out e-mails logs ,started once in while now 2-3x a day sprint has no idea ive had 4 8830s in 9months rim says they have problems with the memory on 8830 and pearl ....no fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The deleting of messages and/or call logs typically indicates a low amount of internal memory. The BlackBerry devices have what is called a Low Memory Manager that will kick in when the memory on the device gets low.

The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. This is where you remove the battery from the BlackBerry while it is still powered on. Leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert. Also, follow the steps in the link below to maximize the memory on the BlackBerry:

1. make sure you have a gmail account and that it has been set up on your phone.
2. go to settings/general sync settings/contacts and activate.
This will automatically sync with your gmail account. You can check it by logging in to your gmail (on a pc for example) and going to the contacts section of your account.

How can i reload software 513 on my bberry


All you need to do is sync your blackberry with your blackberry desktop manager and run the application loader. You will lose all data on the phone because you will be re-installing the software.

In my compurter goto C drive --> goto Program files --> goto Research in Motion --> delete vendor.xml file and reinstall the application after taking backup of the handheld.

Cannot synce my outlook calendar at work into Balckberry storm,


OK, this one is common. Blackberry has 2 different features you can have for accessing emails. The first is the individual feature, which most people use. The second is called Enterprise and is used to sync the device to workplace servers. If your company uses Enterprise your IT department can help you. If you ask them and they don't know what you're talking about, they don't use it. If they do not use Enterprise than in all likelihood you will not be able to sync to your work servers.

You may need to reload the Blackberry software.  This can be downloaded to a PC from RIM.  You will need to find your carrier and download the specific operatign system that your carrier and mobile device uses.

Having problem with syncing E-mails between folders on Blackberry


Hi,

Your Work emails should Sync wirelessly as they are pushed through a BES server. Concentrate on fixing this and it should fix the others.

Do you move any emails when it arrives in your inbox? or do you have any auto-rules setup which moves them automatically?

If all else fails; Backup your device using Desktop Manager. Wipe the device and Enterprise Activate from fresh. Once setup then restore the data from Desktop Manager.
