I want to know how to forword port. I use D-link DWA-125 Wireless Adapter. I want to create DOTA(being a host). How can I do it?

Hi,
If playing DOTA is the reason why you want to forward a port from your dlink router, I don't think that it is going to be necessary.
To be able to HOST a game in dota, you need to either be in a network or in a virtual private network.
LOCAL HOSTING - this means that you are hosting a game to PCs connected to your LAN under the same router. All you need to do is go to Local Area Connection in Warcraft TFT then create the game you want to host. If your friends is not able to see your game, make sure that your windows firewall has Warcraft TFT in its exceptions. Or you can turn off windows firewall as a workaround each time you play DOTA.
VPN HOSTING - this means you must have a specific software to use to host your DOTA game so friends can connect to you even if they are not under the same LAN or router. Best example of a software to use is GARENA. Garena is a vpn software that allows you to connect to players around the globe. You need to register a username and password to use garena. Download and install Garena to your computer. Login using your username and password to use garena. Once logged in, choose the room you want to host your game for. Choose the one under your current location (e.g. Choose Singapore if you are in Singapore). When you connect to the room, click Start Game to start your warcraft. You can HOST dota games by going to Local Area network in Warcraft TFT and create your game with a valid dota map. Same in LAN, you need to put Garena on the exception list of your firewall for people to see your hosted game.

Hope this helps.

Hi can anyone teach me how to do some networking. We have this game Warcraft on 6 computers and we all want to join in to the game by using a lan network. Well i have already my router here and all of them...

Hi

lets resolve your concern what i understand is that you are able to go online with all your computers and able to share the data as well, I suggest you to open the port number : 6112 which i find for you as mentioned on the websites on your router and then you will able to join the game on all the 6 computers, and make sure you open the port in TCP/IP mode.

Thanks
Harmeet :)

Motorola router nat not open for xbox live

Configuring the Firewall for Gaming
By default, the SBG900 firewall is disabled.
If, as recommended, you enable the firewall, refer to the game’s documentation to ensure that the necessary ports are open for use by that game.
The pre-defined SBG firewall policies affect X-Box LiveTM as follows:
LOW: XBox Live data can pass through the firewall. No user action is required.
MEDIUM or HIGH: To enable X-Box Live traffic to pass, you must configure:
• Choose Custom on the Firewall > POLICY — basic Page • UDP 88:88 and UDP/TCP 3074:3074 on the Firewall > POLICY — advanced Page
Configuring Port Triggers
Because the SBG has pre-defined port triggers for games using any of the following applications, no user action is required to enable them:
• DirectX 7 and DirectX 8 • MSN Games by Zone.com • Battle.net®
For a list of games supported by Battle.net, visit http://www.battle.net.
You may need to create custom port triggers to enable other games to operate properly. If you set custom port triggers and enable the firewall, you must customize the firewall to allow traffic through those ports.
To create custom port triggers, use the Gateway > PORT TRIGGERS — custom Page.

SB900 USER GUIDE
The motorola guide has more information relating to port triggers.
If you download the pdf file, go to page 27 for Firewall settings and Page 35 for Gaming Settings..
More indepth information is there.
Hope that helps
Mike

Warcraft III: Frozen Throne - Can't host even though followed directions on portforward an etc., any solutions?

try with firewall disabled on computer? Some routers also include firewalls and require ports to be added to exception in firewall on router as well.

If that does not work set up computer as DMZ host in router configuration and see if that works.

Belkin 54 g wireless router....cant find on the net. need to port forward to host blizzard.net games HELP!

Make sure your private IP address is statically set.  Your public IP address is obtained from your ISP and is what other users will be connecting to.  You can not manipulate your public IP address so if your ISP is running DHCP, it is very possible that your public address is changing.  Also if you are frequently disconnecting your modem, it is possible your ISP is leasing you a new public IP address each time.  So try to keep things as static as possible.  As far as the battle net stuff.

Diablo, Warcraft II Battle.net Edition, and StarCraft:
Allow port 6112-6119 TCP and UDP out and in
Diablo II:
Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in
Allow port 4000 TCP out (realm games)
Allow port 4000 TCP out and in (hosting open games only)
Warcraft III:
Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in
Allow port 6112 TCP in (hosting custom games)
Allow port 6113-6119 TCP out and in (hosting custom games if you've changed the default port in the Options/Gameplay screen)
If you are still having problems after you open up the required ports, try opening 116(TCP) and 118(TCP). I don't really know if these ports are required or not.
I have had people tell me that opening up those two ports have helped them connect to battle.net.

Hope that helps.  For manipulating ports in your router I suggest consulting your user manual, or online FAQ.  Save your router config before applying any changes, and always remember, opening up ports subjects you to different types of security threats so be aware that is a risk you are taking.

Router

Can both devices be connected to the router and surf the web seamlessly? Do you have DHCP (router automatically assigns IP addresses) enabled or do you manually set your computers' IP addresses?
