Touch screen keeps freezing

Does the screen also freeze if you are using a mouse instead of touching the screen? If the freezing still occurs, then the problem is NOT the touchscreen. If it works OK with the mouse then you may need to have the touchscreen repaired. If freezing occurs even with the mouse the cause may be one of several. Right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Task Manager. The task Manager box tells you if your processor is working very hard (any reading that continues to hover near 100% indicates some program or process is overworking your system. Task Manager also shows a list of processes and how much cpu % each process is using. Another possibility is that to run everything you want may require more RAM memory. In general, 4GB or RAM is enough, but if you're running a lot of programs/apps at the same time then you may wish to boost your total amount of RAM to 8GB or more.

Tip

How to force quit uncooperative programs on a PC.

Have you ever encountered annoyingly slow or freezing programs that will not quit when you try to close a window? There is a simple keystroke you can use to quit the programs:Ctrl+Alt+Del. This enables you to access the Task Manager. Task Manager keeps track of all the computers processes as well as the CPU usage and physical memory and can be used to monitor and quit unnecessary programs that can slow or freeze your computer. You simply hold all three buttons (in sequence) and you will be redirected to a different screen that gives you options. Look for Task Manager. (note: If you have Windows XP, Task Manager will pop up as a window). There are 6 tabs (Applications, Processes, Services, Performance, Networks and Users). We will only cover the Applications tab.Once you are in Task Manager, click on the applications tab, if it is not already showing. You will see the titles of programs you are using, if any, and its status (running or not responding). If a program is not responding simply highlight it, by clicking on it and clicking on the button at the bottom labeled "End Task".This should force quit the program(s).

Crashing or freezing while playing

If a software (including a game) is crashing and freezing there can be one or more of the following reasons.
  1. Your computer is infected. Get a good Anti virus and clean your PC after updating the Anti Virus.
  2. You have insufficient RAM. Check your RAM and CPU performance in Task Manager if you are using Windows. Just Right click your task bar at the bottom and select Task manager and the check the performance of your RAM if it is being utilized more that 70-95%. You may be low in RAM. You should get rid of any Mal ware or Viruses before you perform this test.
  3. Get registry cleaning software to improve performance of your machine.
  4. The software that gets stuck might be incompatible with your PC. Check the software documentation to make sure the requirements of the software is provided by your machine.
