The resolution issue is due to your Display Adapter. You will need to post the model system and the model graphics adapter in the system for us to assist (Example: SYSTEM: Dell 5150 GRAPHICS ADAPTER: ATI Radeon 2400Pro)

The reason why you cannot get the optimal resolution is most likely the graphics adapter you have is not supporting the monitor resolution. This can sometimes be resolved with a driver upgrade on the graphics adapter, sometimes an upgrade of the adapter itself.

You can find infomation about your graphics adapter from DXDIAG in Windows XP (Start, RUN, DXDIAG) and clicking the Display tab (This will tell you the type card and the version driver you are using)

I cannot get good resolution in my Hannspree HF229H, what can I do???

The resolution you should be getting is 1680x1050. Under Windows 7, right click on your desktop then open 'Screen Resolution'. If the resolution is set to anything other than 1680x1050, set it to that. If that setting is not available then it is possible that your video card does not support that resolution. This would only effect old computers. If the resolution is set to 1680x1050 but you don't have the proper resolution onscreen, try adjusting the monitor settings using the buttons on the bottom of your monitor. Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hello, I have been using my asus vw222u monitor for a while now, connected to my dell dimension 4600 pc. I have been running the resolution at 1024x768, and been getting relatively clear pictures, but...

Your graphics card will not support that refresh rate @ 1680x1050. you may need to upgrade your graphics card.

Here is the best price/performance card for your machine. and will support upto 2048x1536 @ 85Hz

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure I totally understand the problem, but in general if you can't change to a higher resolution that indicates an issue with your video/graphics drivers rather than your monitor.
I'd try updating your graphics drivers (download the free program Speccy if you need help determining what video card you have) and then seeing if you can set your desired resolution after a reboot.

Hi There! My Acer x223w monitor is floating a "Input Not Supported" box that will not go away any suggestions?

The documentation for this monitor should list its supported resolutions, and you will need to attach another monitor that supports a greater (possibly lower or higher) range of resolutions and then set it to one of the supported resolutions for the monitor. The native resolution appears to be 1680x1050, although I cannot find online documentation directly from Acer.

Native resolution suddenly scrolls.

The native resolution for the Acer AL2216W is 1600X1200. It is acting correctly for the resolution you have set it to.

Benq screen resolution auto adjust seems to auto adjust wrongly

I would recommend you to bring it back and get a new one, if its till under warranty. You cannot fix the problem on the panel buttons it looks something to do with the components in the circuit bord.
