Question about Philips Computers & Internet

2 Answers

We have a trusted Philips Azur Precise 4310 iron. Worked fine for the 2-3 years we have had it - then, suddenly, nothing! Power light on handle has gone out and the iron has completely stopped working (fuse checked and OK). Any clues before we buy another one? thanks Angus

It looks like a problem with the power cord. Try splicing the cord with a new one near the base of the iron and see if this helps. If not, it could indicate some connection problem inside the iron. In this case, it would be cheaper (and wiser) to simply go in for a new iron box..

We have a Philips Azur Precise 4310 iron that has worked brilliantly for the last two years. The steam function has stopped working automatically although the iron still gives steam when the steam button is pressed.

Thanks

Why does 7month philips azur 2600 w steam iron flickers twice when switched on then goes off what can problem be?

This probably shouldn't be in the IPhone section, but the Azur 2600 is fitted with an Auto Safety Off feature. The Auto Safety Off feature activates when iron is stationary for 15 mins, a detection of excessive heat and when when an irregular electrical current is detected. Your Philips Azur most likely has defective circuit board. If your purchase is less than a year old, Philips guarantees their products for up to one year. Please visit http://www.support.philips.com/support/contact/contact_page.jsp?userLanguage=en&userCountry=sa to find the correct contact information for your area.

Fill tank with water and put steam setting to 0.Set temp pial to hottest setting. Let the iron heat up till the light in the hand goes out. Switch off power and hold iron over sink. Push down and hold descale button until all the steam and water has gone from iron. Wipe plate and heat up iron again with no water in it.

My iron worked perfectly and suddenly started beeping and all of the lights went out and it no longer heats up. It is only 2 years old with not much use.

Try wiggling cable at plug and then at iron side if light flashes you have a broken wire.

Tick box if helped

Iron stopped working suddenly

perhaps the thermostat is sticking.as irons are cheap to replace i would try cleaning /soaking the tank to remove lime scale. or strip the iron down checking thermostat and conections.

i had the same problem and the Philips hekp site was no use. I turned my iron off until it was completely cooled down then switched it back on again, with the steam number turned to 5 and the heat on max. as soon as the ready light went off, i put my iron in the horizontal position and shook it back and forth (quite vigorously) and it seemed to have dont the trick!
