Question about JVC GR-D20 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I was recording some footage to send to my family when about 2 minutes into filming the display turned from correct to having a pink haze. I replayed the tape and it was the same as the display. I have tried playing back old tapes and they are ok. I have tried a new recording and the same happens. I cannot get a proper picture. The same is happening in both Auto and Manual settings. At the time I was using it in Auto. Any ideas?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: No picture on my JVC GR-D72US
No Prob...I had the same problem with my GR-D72U. There is a defect in the CCD image sensor. JVC will fix it for FREE! All it will cost you is shipping it to them. Go to http://www.jvcservice.com/service/CustNoticeCamcorder.asp?PgReq=DspDtaDtl&MdlNbr=GR-D72US&Pgm=CCD , download the rapair request... Send it off to your nearest service center and they ship it back all fixed up in less than a week. I must tell you though, you ONLY have until Dec. 31 2008 to do this. Not only did they fix mine, they cleaned the heads but also buffed out a scratch. After you get yours fixed, post as many helps as you can to others.

Hi tlaufer ,
According to the symptom this problem is related to the VIDEO HEAD, As you earlier try to clean the head but no results, Please open the cassette compartment of your camera (as when you insert the cassette in it) for 30 mins (remains open cassette compartment) Actueally some time due to moisture head get durt.
After 30 mins insert the cassette and play it. Hope it will start work again fine.
But if no result from the said procedure then there must be a damadge of point of the head, in this condition you have to replace the VIDEO HEAD assembly.
Thanks for using fixya.

Have check your cassette for some crumpled or damage, if it's is ok, I'm afraid this problem cannot be solve by yourself, there is a problem on the tape transport for sure and it needs skill and instrument, have it check to the expert.
