Hi

Unfortunatly there will be nothing you can do.

Liquid Ingress/water damage is not covered under manufacturers warranty and it is classed as Beyond Economical Repair.

Only thing you can do it explore insurance options

My Phone Sim card has been blocked,,so pls tell me steps to open it.

Hello,

The step to take is for you to enter the PUK number of the simcard so it will enable you to get ***** to your sim card,Firstly PUK means, personal unblocking key. It is simple to get it off the phone. The PUK can be found mostly in the pack where you took out the sim card of the phone from. You will see some codes on the pack of the sim, there you will also see the PUK code, enter it and it will ask you to enter a new security code. Then you enter it and the sim will be unlocked.

PUK mainly blocks the sim card from working on the phone. you can use a new sim card on the phone and it will work perfectly fine.

If you do not have the sim pack, you can contact the customer care or help center of the sim card and they will give you the PUK code. try that with another phone.

Thank you for using fixya.

A friend gave me her old model 1650, new sim card, transferred into my name, all good for 4 days, now it won't do anything. Battery icon comes on when I plug into charger and keypad lights up for about 10...

If it was me i`d find a helpful network shop(and on your new network) as I presume your not under warranty.

Explain the situation to them , ask them to try a battery.
if itsnot the battery try the charger.
If its neither then its the phone.

I hope they can diagnose it before it gets to the phone bit.

Hope it helps!

Puk code

Greetings! When the sim card is asking a PUK code, it means that you have type in the wrong pincode 10 times (depends on sim).

The mobile SIM card comes with a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code or PIN

PUK is somewhat protection to your sim card. PUK code is found on the original SIM card or you can ask the Telecom provider for your PUK code.

Hope this helps

I droped my phone in the water

Most likely it will not work anymore. But if you are lucky, it can. Let it dry on a towel in a window sill for a day. If it doesn't work, save the SIM card memory stick (etc.) and get a new phone; or you can try again. The same thing happened to me. Three days later it worked again.
P.S. Don't get a Motorola RAZR. They break easily and get all kinds of problems.

I have a motorola razer cell phone that has been working fine. today i had just talked with some one on it and it diplayed INSERT SIM i have tried taking battery out and sim card and re-inserted it...

I had this same problem with my razr adn I hated that phone because of it. Make sure the sim card is pushed in all the way. Clean the contacts on the sim card itself (you know the gold parts) and make sure the contacts where it meets the phone are clean also. Make sure the metal part that holds the sim card in is securing the card close to the phone and it's actually making contact.

It always just took some fiddling like you are doing to get it working again, but the problem never went away. Do you have insurance on your phone? Maybe you can replace it or upgrade it based on which plan you have and which provider you use. I would never buy another razr because my husband and I had about three of them total and they always had glitches.

Even if this doesn't solve the problem, I hope it makes you feel better to know that you are not the only one feeling the pain!

Button issues

This problem occurs when an internal oily substance oozes out of the keypad internally. The carbon coating on the internal surface of each key can wear and cause a faulty connection. If you really like your phone then you can purchase a liquid silver repair kit. Ebay # 270093848406. To open up your phone you need to remove 4 screws. Two are under the battery pack, two are under the small panel on top back of phone. Pry this off with a steak knife blade. Back of phone then must be pryed off carefully. Remove two small screws that hole electronic panel in place. Remove this panel, do not pull on wires, they can break off easily. Clean all contact surfaces with solvent or alchohol. Wash keypad in soapy water and rinse, dry off with hair dryer. Apply silver as directed. Allow to dry. Reassemble. Or return to store for exchange for a different phone. If you just bought this phone recently and used a credit card, you can dispute the charge, or maybe your credit card automatically extended your warranty, many do. I hope all this helps.
