Maybe none of these people have the answer your lookin for. have you thought about taking your problems to a professional who knows what they are doing? we all have our own problems and most of us cant afford to take our stuff to a certified repair man, so we in turn rely on these little forums. dont take your problems out on us. if some one has an answer or a solution maybe they will help you, but dont expect everyone to have an answer for your problem! if you were in that desperate of a need for assistance then maybe you could pay the "fee" that this site charges to get an answer your looking for.
good luck in getting the answers your needing, but remember we too have problems of our own and they may or may not be the same as yours. but as soon as some one has an answer you may get help. or you could call the tech support usually located in your manual of the item you purchased. have you thought about that?

Tray won't open

by just resetting the software will not work this is a mechanical problem this usually happens on players that is not use for a long time or improper closing of tray..fixing this kind of problem requires opening the cover of the unit..you need to lubricate all moving gears and parts by putting enough amount of lubricating oil..you have also need to assist the motor manually by helping it to push the tray out just gently pull the tray with your hands during a eject command on the unit clean also the limit switches of the tray make that contact are properly working..good luck!

Hooked up the Magnavox dp100mw8b and nothing, absolutely nothing happens. what is the problem? checked hook up I can hear it running I am sick of fooling with this thing

If you don't get any display indicators such as "load", "open", or numbers (for track numbers), most likely the processor is not working. Otherwise recheck connections, etc. Given the few symptoms, I can't guess at much else. Good luck.

Vhs eject will not release tape.

I had a suggestion that did work. Reach into the VHS compartment with left hand and press down toward the back of the tape. With the right hand press the eject button a few times and the tape did come out. I would not buy a Samsung product again. No help from their 800 tech support. No more playing the VHS side of the player. Lynn

VCR problem in EWR2OV4

When a VCR eats a tape, it can be cause by a couple things.

1. There is a rubber wheel called a "pincher wheel" that compresses the tape against the "capstan". The capstan is a shiny metal spindle. The pincher wheel can become worn and/or dirty from the oxide coating off of the tape. You can try cleaning the pincher wheel and capstan with alcohol or try using a re-grip solution on the pincher wheel. Last thing to do is replace the pincher wheel. Look to see that the pincher wheel is doing its job by pulling the tape through.

2. There is a small tire wheel called an idler tire. This tire pivots between the sending and pickup reels of the player. Its also used during fast forward & rewind as well as play. If the tire is worn, the tape won't be wound up as fast on the take-up reel as the sending reel during play. This means more tape is coming out than can be wound up. You can try using a re-grip solution on the idler tire or replace it.

Let me know if you need more information as to where to purchase these parts.

Good luck!
