Isn't DDR2 240 pin? DDR1 is 184 pin...DDR2 will not work on a D865GBF board. DDR1 memory will only work with this board and you have to use identical pairs for it to run in dual channel mode. Make sure they are in the correct slots for dual channel mode. Max memory for this board is 4 gigs. Use branded memory as generic is junk and may not be recognized properly. I recommend OCZ.

Intel has no plans to develop a Windows 7 driver for your older, discontinued motherboard.

You may wish to use the latest operating system that IS supported to continue using your D865GBF board.

What is the maximum onboard VGA support from Intel D865GBF?

This board supports uses Intel Extreme Graphics 2 for its onboard video memory but even Intels site does not explain how much memory it has or if it shares RAM for video memory. Your manual can be found here

When i add a memory in damaged DIMM slot showing black screen?

Try moving the working DIMM to other slots, it should work in any slot, if it does, the other ram u have is incompatible or bad

Install a matched pair of DIMMs (equal in speed: DDR266, DDR333, or
DDR400; density: 64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, or 1 GB; and
technology: 128 Mb, 256 Mb, or 512 Mb) in DIMM 0 in both Channels A and
B. If additional memory is to be used, install another matched pair of DIMMs
in DIMM 1 in both Channels A and B.
