I want to connect my ipod to the radio

According to Apple, over 90 percent of new cars retailed in the United States are equipped with iPod connectivity.
The iPod has become such a popular device, that many car stereos are now furnished with a 30-pin dock connector cable in order to link to the portable media player.
But this built-in compatibility is not essential for connecting your iPod to your car stereo. In fact, there are numerous options for integrating your iPod with your car.
Recently manufactured vehicles can support an iPod connection through an auxiliary input.
And FM transmitters can be used to stream your iPod's audio files through an FM frequency. iPods can even be connected to much older car stereos with the use of a tape adapter.

Connect an iPod to a Car Stereo Through the Auxiliary Input
Insert an extension cable with 3.5 mm stereo connectors on each end into the headphone output of your iPod. Insert the other end of the 3.5 mm stereo connector cable into your car stereo system's auxiliary input. Press the "Aux" button on your car stereo. Turn on your iPod and select media to play. The stereo will now stream audio from your iPod. b> Connect an iPod to a Car Stereo With an FM Transmitter Insert the FM transmitter into the 30-pin dock connector of your iPod. Turn on your iPod to activate the FM transmitter. Select the FM frequency you want your device to stream audio to on your car stereo. Turn on the car stereo and tune it to the same FM frequency as the FM transmitter attached to your iPod. The stereo will now stream audio from your iPod. b> Connect an iPod to a Car Stereo With a Cassette Adapter Plug the jack connector of the cassette adapter into the headphone output of your iPod. Insert the cassette into the car stereo. Turn on your iPod and select media to play. The stereo will now stream audio from your iPod.

Connecting mp3 car radio

If you radio has an Aux input then you can connect a audio cable from your MP3 player to the Aux input on your radio.
If your radio does not have an Aux input the you can use a FM transmitter device. Connect the MP3 player to the FM transmitter and tune your FM radio to the radio frequency on this FM adapter to listen to your audio book on your MP3 player.
Check out these WEB sites fro FM transmitters.

Us-europe fm frequencies switch

Hi, i don't understand what you mean by us-europe fm frequencies switch because you did not post your question correctly.

Let me give you a brief history...
It's a device for connecting a personal audio/video player to a vehicle equiped with a FM radio. The device connects to the lighter/DC connector of the vehicle with a power block 1 to provide a source of power for the player and recharge the internal battery of the player. the device also connects to docking receptacles of a personal audio player with a recieve port 6 allowing unattenuated sound and recharging connection. A wire serves as an antenna for FM transmitter 3 to make wireless connection to the vehicle radio......

Please re-post your question to get your problem solved..

Take care

I am not able to get FM Radio though the software is installed and the tv channels availabe when cable is connected. should i connect an antenna to get FM?

IT SHOULD USE THE ONE YOU ALREADY HAVE. PROBABLY THE MANUFACTURER OF YOUR CARD DID NOT APPREHEND THE FM OPTION YET STATING IT HAS AN FM INSTALLED WITH IT.

POST AA COMMENT IF THAT DOES NOT WORK

FM Radio

Hi
iPods do not come with FM tuners. FM tuners can be bought and added on as an extra feature, but this is a third party device, not an iPod device.

Generally, when you connect the third party FM tuner to the iPod, the iPod will recognize it and you can use the 3rd party FM tuner to change stations.

If you do not have the FM tuner to connect to the iPod, the individual that sold you the iPod did not include the FM tuner to connect to the the iPod. In that case, the Menu will still list the FM tuner, but there is no device to connect to the iPod.

No Signal After Reconnecting Roady2

Try playing the Roady 2 through a fm radio with the audio jack(middle connection) disconnected and the FM Frequency & Fm Radio set to the same station. At least this will tell if the receiver is working. I suspect that you got an aftermarket audiojack for your stereo. Might want to check that. Go back to the manual FM Modulation setup instructions. Any FM receiver will work. Good Luck
