Hi. thanks for the question .no not a lot, you cant get it all out. but you should not be able to see any. if you can see water. i would check the hoses at the pump, or a kinked hose. check that. thanks the appliance doc

My Neptune washer doesn't empty all of the water. Is it suppose to hold water?

The Maytag Neptune front load has a liquid counter weight that makes it sound as though it is not empty. This is a normal sound, they all sound like that, even mine.

I have a Maytag Neptune front loading washer, After a complete wash cycle I hear water sloshing in the machine when I open the door and turn the durm. Is water supposed to be in the machine after the cycle...

Yes. The tan/gray colored inner ring attatched to the inner wash tub actually has a calcium chloride solution in it to aid in balancing the machine out during spin. Clothes go to one side, liquid to the other. It's all good. It is sealed so it cannot leak out or create odors.
Hope this answers your question!

Neptune - has Lr displayed where time remaining for wash usually displays. Doesn't finish.

Hello there
The LR error on your non-spinning Maytag Neptune is usually, though not always, accompanied either by a burn spot or a blown fuse on the Motor Control Board.

Burn Spot on a Maytag Neptune Washer Motor Control Board (click to enlarge)
Blown Fuse on a Maytag Neptune Washer Motor Control Board (click to enlarge) Either way, it means just one thang: a new motor and motor control board kit are in your future.

Neptune stackable -water left below the drum after cycle complete

Some water yes. a lot of water no.As long as the water stays below the wash tub you should be OK.
You might want to pull your water pump off and check for a restriction.

Neptune-is water supposed to remain, after wash is finished, between tub and outer shell

if you hear water when you spin the basket, that is the front tub balance ring.it is filled halfway with water in order to assist mach in balancing load.that is a normal sound.the mach may also leave some water between the basket and outer shell depending on lengh of drain hose.as long as the clothes do not come in contact with the water it is fine.

Neptune washer

If the water is draining out o.k. then either there is no signal from the water level pressure switch, no signal from the control board or a problem with the Spin windings.
