I you go to file hippo and down load a free program called ccleaner and then run the clean then the registry scan for issues but save the back up file. That should bring you back to good speed. also at file hippo malware bite is free also for a scan for malware which can slow your computer down. Hope this helps.

My computer is running very slow

Your computer is constipated. Turn off all your virus programs, stay away from porn sites, then type msconfig in the run box, hit enter, select startup and remove all checks. Reboot computer.

My hp tx2 tablet pc turns into safe mode and running so slow

Follow these guidelines:

1. Turn a power-off computer on or reboot a running computer.

2. Quick press the F8 key on keyboard before Windows starts, after hearing a beep sound you will be taken to Windows Advanced Options Menu instead of the normal loading page. If it doesn't work on the first try, just reboot and try again. And Select normal loading option.

Fix windows internal errors and corrupt registry to avoid such types of errors in future. I would suggest to use system utility tool Reginout.

I have lost my instruction booklet and it has been almost 1.5 years since I have used the notebook. I cannot get it to turn off. It keeps saying Windows is Shuting Down; however, it is still on. Can...

Hi There,

Simply hold down the power button until the notebook shuts down. Then, restart the notebook and it may just boot up normally. If you're taken to a screen with options that include Startup Repair or Start Windows Normaly, try Normaly first. If it won't start, use Startup Repair the next time around.

When you leave a notebook off that long, Windows may have tried to install dozens of updates. You will need to patiently update Windows completely.

Selk

Slow boot time for Windows XP Pro

You can do that by using "MSCONFIG"

Click 'start' then goto 'run' and type 'msconfig' then click 'Ok'

That will open the Microsoft System Configuration Utility. You can then disable the unnecessary services and apps

Did you run windows update, or something else? Have you rebooted the system since then? What is your OS?
For the slow system, see here and here. Also go here for vista, here for xp. If malware is a possibility, I'd suggest you follow this malware removal guide.
Please see this HP support page, and this article in particular, to help resolve the fax issue. You can find additional help for your printer here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
