Games Do Not Work Unable to Play Games. For most game errors there are a couple of steps available that will alleviate the trouble. If you are having trouble you should:

  1. Clear Your Browsers Cache On AOL
  2. Clear Your Browsers Cache on Internet Explorer
  3. Clear Your Java Cache
  4. Browser/Service Error when playing Pogo Games
  5. After you've done the above Once you've performed all the steps detailed above. Close all your browsers. Once all your browsers have been closed, restart them and go back to the game you were trying to play.

Seeing A Red X Seeing A Red X Some members will see a Red X where a game should be running. This happens when a small piece of software provided by the game publisher is not installed. These little programs are called Active X controls. When you see a Red X you need to do the following to get the game running:
1) Close down your browsers (and the AOL client)

2) Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files

3) Find all non-Java labeled files

4) Right-click it and select "Remove" for each

5) Open up Internet Explorer or AOL and try to run the game again.

Slingo Help Slingo Help 1) Make SURE you have the latest version of Java by clicking here. and installing Java (the games need Java to run properly)

2) You will see more of the screen if you use Internet Explorer or Firefox instead of the AOL browser. Just sign onto AOL, minimize the AOL running but leave it running in the background and then open Internet Explorer and go to Slingo

3) If you cannot see the entire game screen, adjust your screen size (the resolution) to 1024x768. Then you should see the game AND the chat.

4)You can play in any state and any room by clicking on the regional tabs inside the game lobby.

5) You can play in ANY of the game rooms regardless of what state you are from by clicking on the “Play” button in the lobby. Pop-Up Blockers Pop-Up Blockers Some of our games open as a pop up. If you click on one of our games at it is blocked it may be due to a pop-up blocker. You can make sure that AOL games are never blocked by adding AOL.com and Games.com to your pop-up blockers safe list:

A file that is infected (or very badly coded) tries to access local dll and the Sandbox tries to do its job of preventing that but fails.
Stop going to that site.

I cant get on pogo to play my games i downloaded java

It's a ongoing issue with Pogo and Java. Java updates quite often due to security issues, Pogo has a hard time keeping current with Java. You didn't post your Windows version? 32 or 64bit? Try installing a older version of java, this is the 32bit version, it works with some of my clients Pogo issues: http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre_32/10808/

This should get you started on trouble shooting the issue.

This is a link to POGO support, read all the information and follow the instructions. Most the time this will fix issues with POGO.

I have had cases that Internet Exporer would not work no matter what we tried. In those cases I have downloaded and used Firefox (link for downloading below).

Hope this helps

Just installed NIS 2011 on computer and now can't get Pogo game site to come up.

Create a Firewall Rule on your Norton program from the settings to allow the POGO games.

You can also click on the quarantine and there you have an option to exclude that item from being blocked.

CANNOT DOWNLOAD GAMES

if you mean a pop up blocker it could be that not letting you download the games i would turn it off for a second and see if thats the issue if not then it could be your internet security settings, firewall settings or your antivirus thats stoping the download, if the downloads popping up and not downloading then it could be pogo just updating there website

Java problem using pogo games

This issue is caused by the security software on the computer. Most security software have features like AD blocking and Script blocking which causes this problem.
You can try turning off this feature in the security software. Alternatively there are couple of things that can be done.
For IE 6, goto tools manage add-ons and disable all the items except the ones which have the name Java or Flash or Sun Microsystems or Adobe.
For IE7, goto Tools - Advanced tab and click on the Reset button.
Or goto Tools – Programs tab – Click “Manage addons” and do the same as above.

Let me know if this helps

  1. It is a problem with there server. This is the problem you have no control over

It could be security settings on your router, check to see if there is a firewall on your router, you willl access this information by reading the manual and typing the IP address of your router the number will start like this 192.168.... and so on if indeed there is one disable it to see if this is the culperate.
  3. Your antivirus could be causing it

  5. Try another browser like firefox
