My tower turns on and makes this consistent beeping sound. And nothing shows on the screen.

I believe from my own past that the beeping sound is an over-heating alarm, and that you need to get more fans installed inside. Try taking off the door to your tower, and point a fan in on it and turn off the computer, wait about 5 minutes with the fan set to high to see if that solves your problem. If it doesn't then I suggest you take it in to the shop or wait for some more possible answers on here.

Hope this helps!

Trying to send a fax and it keeps giving me a error 0503

If you are trying to send a fax message using your desktop computer and it shows an error 0503, you just need to turn off both devices your modem and the computer. Now if you have an internal modem so you just need to turn off your computer for atleast 5 minutes to drain the power. Then you can try to refax your message.

Started computer up after 1 year, everything ok except mouse not working, tried new mouse but arrow still stays in the middle of the screen. Tried in different ports, but continues to not work.

this is a typical port issue. and the first thing you need to do is to reboot the pc and let it sit for about 5 minutes before turning it on. this way you will let your PC to refresh that can help solve the port issues of your computer.

Have a problem with my computer. I clicked on sleep mode and it turned off, but when I tried to wake it up after about 5 -7 minutes, it gave me a sign that said ?No signal ?..?something.? I don?t know how...

Hello
1st try clicking mouse and moving it around.
2nd turn monitor off then back on.
Last unplug pc and monitor from all power for a minute or two to reset motherboard.Plug back in and start up pc.
Should wake it up.
You may get a notice the windows did not shut down correctly,just choose to start windows normally.

Hope this helps.

Computer will boot up but after 5 minutes it shuts

Definitely your SMPS is faulty. Change it to one with a rating of 450-500 Watts and that should solve this problem....sodeep

Have power cord plugged into asus eee machine and wall outlet. light has been blinking all day. when asus eee gets unplugged it shuts off.

lets try this ---

* turn of your computer
* remove the plug from your computer.
* Remove the battery from your computer
* Let it sit for 3-5 minutes
* Replace the battery
* Plug your computer back in (Make sure the wall outlet is working as well, seems simple, but have seen it before)
* Let it sit for about 3-5 minutes
* Boot your computer
* go to
Start -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Power Meter
Note the Total Battery Power Remaining

* Let your computer sit for 15-30 Minutes and see if the Total Battery Power Remaining has gone up.

If so problem solved

if not you may be time for a new battery.

I have a dell dimension 5150 desktop problem; turn off after 60 minutes working.

Hi, maybe he was over heating, open your tower and look the fan of your CPU and POWER SUPPLY. Did they work? If yes, did the dirt on the heatsink of the cpu hide the heatsink? If yes clean it and make a test!
