Question about PC Desktops

My computer keeps turning off..

My problem first started when playing games in Big Fish..My computer shut down unexpectedly. This went on for a few weeks and I did a system restore like 6 or 7 times. I went online for answers to my question and was told I probably needed to update my graphics driver..which I attempted to do..and then after updating the driver {nvidia geforce6150 le} all I got was a black screen..and thats it..so I chat online w/a gateway tech..he told me that windows was corrupted and gave me the http to go to to reinstall windows..which I have done twice tonite..and I have such a headache..because now..I can't even get everything set back up because the computer now shuts down every 5-10 minutes...can someone tell me what I need to do please??

1) what is the wattage of your power supply, it could be that it is not enough for when your system is running under a heavy load. Or it could just be failing fast.
2) check fans and temperature, systems will shut down to protect themselves if it gets too hot.
3) look at the mother board, are any of the capacitors leaking or bulging, if so you mother needs replacing unless you are comfortable replacing capacitors.

Having problems with big fish games on my computer

Make certain you are using their latest software.

1) Open your Big Fish Games module that lists all your games.
2) Click on the little "gear" icon that says "options"
3) Click the "About" tab that should be to the far right at top
4) Click the button to Check for Software Updates.

If there are any available, it will then be updated and you should restart your computer and try again.

Good luck

I might advise you reformat the operating system of the computer, or check the peripheral devices for this computer if properly connected? You got a fatal error it means that there is something that is not reading by the memory of the computer.

try starting the computer in safe mode. As the computer boots keep pressing F8 until you hear a beep. The computer will or should start in safe mode, once it has everything will look big, don't worry about that for now, click on start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and choose a date for when you know the computer was working without any problems. Once the computer has restored it will shut down and reboot. When/if asked what mode you want to boot/start your computer choose start windows normally. I hope this helps.
