I recently purchased an MP4 player for my mother from Ebay. It looks like an ipod, but is about 1.5 by 2 in big, and 7 mm thick. No product number, or any brand ANYWHERE, including the "features guide" they sent with it. 1.8" TFT Screen 4GB MP3 MP4 Video Player FM Radio Voice Recorder is the only info I have on it. It can with a CD, but it is difficult to understand, and doesn't help me. And anytime I try to click onto anything (like when I downloaded the media player) all I get are a bunch of funky symbols and what looks like could be some partial chinese. My computer recognizes it to pull up the files, but it will not let me download any files onto the player itself.......have any ideas for me???

About your recent purchase of 16GB 4th Gen Slim MP3 MP4 Media Player with FM radio
You have been sold a fake sized player. it is hacked to show 16GB actual size may be around 1GB to 8GB. test your player with "H2TESTW 1.4" you will find it the first hit on www.google.com let other people know and open a dispute on paypal, you have been sold a fake item. Do not return the item for refund as sellers address is very likely wrong, useless to wait for a replacement player because they all are hacked. Get a partial refund. I paid 35usd, got 20usd refunded just now.
About your problem. The player doesn't require anything works with vista and xp /etc just by plugging it into your computer and then turn it on, it will show up on your my computer as a removeable disk.
I dont have an ipod to compare it to, but I thnk that ipods use a dock connector, the tevion mp4 player has a mini usb, the kind you usualy find on a digital camera. I might be wrong about this, as there are different types of ipod, so there might be ones that also have usb connectors as well.
Any accessories you purchase have to be designed to plug into a mini usb, so just make sure you check what type of connections your accessories have before buying them.
Alternatively, there are adapter cables out there, ipod docking ones to usb, and usb to mini usb, so it would be possible to rig connections up, they wouldnt look pretty though.
My daughter recently gave me the mp4 player, two things I need help with one: the glass is broke on the screen. Can I replace it and where do I get the replacement or repair.
Two: I have no manual for the operation of it, can I download if from somewhere online?
