I have been doing alot of research about the ASUS Eeepc 701 and would like to purchase one, I have watched one of your videos on youtube and saw that you are using Linux and you made the desktops look awsome! So i was hoping you could she me how to do all this step by step, like making a start menu and adding applications and themes and making it pretty much like your ASUS Eee pc, because you know how to do this i thought i would refer to you for help

Hi well you can ONLY do this with an external USB connected DVD, or USB memory stick. You would need to use the DVD and Boot up off the EEEPC DVD that came with the PC, or download a copy from the net, and then simply follow instructions. The same applies to the USB drive, you would need to make a install disk, using the software and a PC.
Hi thus your eeepc is still under warranty? Your eeepc comes with a recovery CD. But the problem is that laptop have no CD rom drive. You have to buy a CD rom Drive that you have to connect to usb, or you have to go to fry's and buy this tools deluxe usb 2.o to IDE cable for 2.5/3.5/5.25 drive with power adapter. find an old CD rom and use that so you can use the recovery CD that comes with the laptop. or you can do this copy that recovery CD to a 8g usb memory stick. them connect it to you eeepc.
