Problems with hard reset

Hello Everyone.
I recently purchased a used 2215, and when I received it the speaker didn't work, I tried a hard reset, after the reset the ipaq won't start, it lights for a second, with a white screen with a HP logo in the center, and under that it has a windows logo with the word "start..." under that. Then it shuts off and I have do the reset again, only to get the same results. Is there some other way to reset this model ipaq?, or do I have to send it for service?

Are you sure you are hard resetting that sounds more like a soft reset
Just in case to perform a hard reset you must hold down Buttons 1 & 4 (bottom left and bottom right) and depress the soft reset button on the back.
The screen will go dark and then restart.
