Hi-

Check if there is a fuse at the back of the unit or inside of it. Replace if there is any.

Keep us updated, thanks

Hope this helps

If you turn on the dishwasher and nothing happens:

    1)
Be sure the power is on, the door is latched, and the control is turned
on. Also make sure the appliance cord is plugged into the electrical
receptacle under the sink (some are hardwired and don't come unplugged).

    2)
If that doesn't solve the problem, the door switch, the timer, or the
selector switch may be defective. To solve the problem, you may be able
to adjust the door latch's strike slightly, using a screwdriver (turn
off the power to the dishwasher at the electrical panel when working on
    it).

    3) If that doesn't work, call an appliance repairperson.

Hi gwmkjm,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: YOUR BOSCH DISHWASHER MODEL #SHU43C06UC/17 WILL NOT START. NONE OF THE LIGHTS TURN ON AS IF THERE IS NO POWER GETTING TO IT. Yes. 9 times out of 10 it's a loose or broken wire in the d/w junction box under the d/w behind the kick plate on the right. Make sure to turn off the electric before you expose the wirenuts. Remove them and install new.

Hi.
Your dishwasher should never be connected to a hot water tap.
Every dishwasher has its own Heating element. If you connect it to a hot water tap you may eventually damage the inlet valve which has sensitive plastic components in it and may even void your warranty if your installation manual suggests Cold water connection only.

Shu43c06uc was running and then just stopped. No power at all when door is closed. I checked breakers and outlet is hot?

Hi Danny, since you've indicated the plug-in for the machine is "hot" then obviously the breaker is good, soooo. I would start by first going back and shutting off the breaker. Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom ) and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line. This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance". The end result is no power to the controls. Check it out and post back what you find. Thanks for visiting "fixya" and please take a moment to rate the solution/suggestion provided here for you. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

Water not draining

If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:
  1. Drain line/air gap--A clog in this part is the usual reason that a dishwasher doesn't drain. Remove the drain line to clear any debris from the hose or hose connection at the household drain line connection. Reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.
  2. Pump--You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher. Remove the lower rack, spray arm and support. Look for an impeller, a device that spins around and forces water through the spray arm. This is the wash impeller and beneath it is the drain impeller that pushes the water into the drain port. Replace it if found defective or worn out.
  3. Drain valve/solenoid---The drain valve may have a solenoid with lever that sticks or frozen and prevents the dishwasher from draining. Free up the solenoid and lubricate the lever.
  4. Belt---A certain brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. Replace it if broken or worn out.
  5. Motor---Check it if turning or working.Turn the rotor manually to see if stuck and free it up. Replace if defective, it is not serviceable.

lol...yes this is normal for a Bosch. They have several "safety" measures incorporated into their dishwashers. Look on the bright side they are one of the very best dishwashers on the market and are known for their longevity and quietness.

BOSCH DISHWASHER SHU43C06UC/17 NO WATER UPPER ARM

Ours is a SHU3300UC/06 model, basic model which we bought in 1999 so have had 9 years of trouble free service.
Recently we noticed that there was soap left in the soap dispenser after the machine had finished all the cycles. On further inspection we noticed that the upper level glasses, cups and bowels are not consistently clean and it appears that the upper washing arm is not working properly. At the back of the upper washer arm, there is a rectangular piece that slides over the two water outlet tubes projecting out of the back of the washer which supply H20 to the upper arm. On removing the upper arm and the rectangular connector, I noticed there is an inner place that I think is supposed to work like a washer that fits tightly over the 2 water outlet tubes in the protruding from the back of the washer. I noted that the upper opening in the washer/seal is broken so a proper seal is not established. This would cause insufficient water pressure getting to the upper arm and reduce its effectiveness. Now I'm trying to find the replacement part. It appears to be something than can easily be replaced.
