Call me lazy if you want to, I call it efficient. But the easiest and quickest way? I close the doors and windows and put a large pot of boiling water on the stove. Sometimes I unhook the dryer exhaust hose from the wall if I'm doing laundry, and aim it towards the kitchen. The combination of heat, moisture, and condensation helps me use a sponge mop on the ceiling. Takes about five minutes to clean my kitchen ceiling.
It should also work nice for cleaning smoke off the kitchen ceiling, for cleaning soot off the kitchen ceiling, for cleaning grease off the kitchen ceiling, or for cleaning tar and nicotine off the ceiling.
If this was of assistance or helpful in solving your problem, please take the time to rate it, as I took the time to write it. Thank you.
Plates are not removable on this model. Having used several GF grills, I found that the easiest way to clean them was to clean the grates with a soapy towel as soon after cooking as possible; If it cools off the residue becomes solid and rather stuck-on. If you still have greasy residue, repeat cleaning with the soapy towel. (NOTE: Dawn soap works best; feel free to squirt it on to the grill and wipe clean, then rinse - it worked for me!)
