Go to BIOS and set the time correctly.
If it starts losing time again, you may need a new CMOS battery.

Unable to read my AOL email messages from my computer. Fix this for me permanetly and I will sign up for your monthly membership on Oct 1st, 2009.

Firstly how are you looking at the email messages are you looking at them through the AOL client? If so there are several key things to check. Start by checking the time and date on your computer. To do this you will need to..Double click on the clock check that the month day and year are correct. Next go to the time zone tab then check that your time zone is correct for the grographic location that you live.

This is important because it can create a synchronization issue. Next login to your AOL account and go see in your profile that it is in the correct time zone also. Once all of this is done let me know where you are at and if you can see the email.

I cannot sync my Palm Tungsten E with MS Outlook.

  1. Step 1 Install the Palm Tungsten software. This software is required in order to sync Palm Tungsten with Outlook Express. To install the software, place the CD-ROM in your PC and follow the on screen instructions.
  2. Step 2 Use the HotSync cable included with your Palm to plug into the USB port of your PC. You will then plug the other end of the cable into your Palm Tungsten.
  3. Step 3 Open the HotSync Manager program on your PC through the "Start" menu or clicking on the icon. You can manage the different programs available for synchronization through this program. Select Microsoft Outlook as one of the applications that you want synched onto your Palm Tungsten.
  4. Step 4 Turn on the Palm Tungsten. You will see a star icon on the menu of your PDA. Tap this star with your stylus to start syncing Microsoft Outlook Express. A dialog box will appear on your PC during the process to know the progress of the synchronization.
  5. Step 5 Unplug the cable from your PC and Palm Tungsten once the sync is completed. As the Palm resets, you will now notice that Microsoft Outlook Express is available on the PDA.

When Microsoft Outlook "synchronizes folders," I can't do anything else on my Windows XP laptop for 1-2 minutes while it only does that. And, it happens very frequently, killing my productivity.

I found a lengthy thread related to your problem on TechRepublic.

You may want to read through some of the posts to see if the solution provided works for you. They also mention how to set Outlook to only synchronize when idle which may be another option to try.

I cant seem to find how to connect the internet to my Toshiba Satellite M105

Dear geezy_goez,

You seem to have lost the shortcut to your browser. Assuming you have Windows, you can start IE by going to Start, Run and typing "iexplore" in the box. That should start Internet Explorer.

Regards.

When I turn on the Toshiba Satellite A215-S7447 laptop, the monitor part of it doesn't turn on with the rest of the system.

Plug in an external monitor. use the <FN><F5> keys to toggle between the internal lcd and the external monitor. If the display external works and the lcd doesn't, most likely a bad inverter board.

My toshiba m105 it wasn't the inverter, it was the lcd itself, the TAB welds were no good but the lcd still worked it just had a 3" vertical blacked out area on the lcd.

I'm trying to connect my toshiba satellite m115 to my insignia 19" lcd hdtv but its saying on the tv " mode not support " how do i fix that so i can watch my laptop on my tv?

Your toshiba m115, like my m105, is probably set at settings 1280X800. Once the LCD is hooked up to your laptop
  1. Right mouse click on empty spot on desktop
  2. left click on properties
  3. left click on settings tab
  4. left click on advanced
  5. left click on INTEL MEDIA GRAPHICS tab at top
  6. left click on graphics properties
  7. display settings
  8. change to 1024X768 or 800X600 (whatever lcd tv supports)
  9. click apply
  10. click on display devices
  11. make selection
  12. apply

OUTLOOK EXPRESS BACKUP FILE

BAK and BK files usually are backups of other documents or files.

The BAK (or BK) file extension normally represents files that are backup copies of other file. There is no 'standard' file format for BAK files. BAK files can represent virtually anything.

This link will take you to an on-line storage of software I have. Download and run easyrecovery pro. Select E-Mail repair. Select Outlook express.
