View deleted history

If want to see what's been viewed on a computer or if you want to find a website that you visited, but can't quite remember the name of, you'll need to check your computer's history and cookies folders.

These are where the information about a computer user's Internet whereabouts are kept.
Some people say these folders contain the user's "footprints."

The footprints aren't hard to find. All it takes is a few mouse clicks and you're there.
Open your Web browser and click on the "Favorites, Feeds and History" tab. Internet Explorer's tab is indicated by a yellow star.

Click on the "History" tab. There should be a list of items arranged either by "Date," "Site," "Most Visited" or "Visited Today."

Click on each of these items to see what's been viewed on the computer.

If the history has been deleted, click on "Tools" and a drop-down menu will appear.
Click on "Internet Options."

On the "Internet Options" screen, click on "Settings" under "Browsing history."

Click on "View files" to display the cookies on the computer.

Cookies are pieces of information from websites that a computer saves to make loading the information faster. You can click on these items to see what they are.

Missing sound device and winminiport has yellow question mark

try this first. click on my computer, then go to control panel. you'll come to system; click on it. then click on hardware. you click on device manager. your list of drivers will then appear. anything with a yellow question mark means a missing drive. click on it, and then click re-install/update driver.
it will search the web for the right driver. I believe your model uses a realteck 97; I may be wrong. If the download doesn't work, then go to dell.com, they have drivers listed for all of their older units. hope that helps.

When i try to download java for my window vista it says click yellow bar which does not appear and when i try to download java manually it says it is there but it doesn't work so i am havin 2 problems...

Lets take this in two approaches: (1) The yellow bar it refers to is the one that appears below the links bar at the top of your web browser. It will tell you that something is trying to install on your machine..click here for options. Click on the yellow bar and the option to install ActiveX control or to download the file should appear.
(2) Head to www.java.com. Click on the Download Java button. See approach number one above for the rest.

Computer

If you don't have speaker on Icon Tray (bottom right), means you have missing drivers for your Audio and if so you can't here any adio from your system. To find out whether you have missing driver or not, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Start -> Control Panel
  2. Double Click on system icon
  3. Click on Hardware
  4. Click on Device Manager.

Now the device manager window will appear. See carefully in the components list, if there is any component with yellow mark, then you have missing driver.

If you have missing driver then after installing the correct driver will fix your problem.

If you don't have driver tell me your manufacturer and model no. I will give you the link or you can find on the manufacturer's site.

If any question just Ask me.

Thanks
Iqbal
